I thoroughly regret not getting any pictures of this room. If you need somewhere cheap for one night, potentially a last minute trip, as I did, then stay at this place. For the quick, not a special occasion it does the trick. Upon getting into...More
The Y Hotel is part of the Montreal YWCA, it was very clean but no frills. Good for 1 night or for student looking for less expensive accommodations. It is centrally located in the downtown. not a bad choice.
very close to airport bus stop, this hotel is a very affordable alternative - walking to shopping/restaurants/nightlife/sports/cultural spots is very easy and safe. very clean common rooms (bathrooms, kitchen etc.), helpful front staff, so very hard to find something to complain about! i would come...More

my second stay here and this time for 2 nights. Parking can be an issue, especially when Le Canadiens are playing, which is close by at the Bell Centre. Clean basic and worth the try. Recommend it, cheaper than most hotels.

Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young
professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
