Great hotel if you're looking for something quirky and a different. We were two families of 4 and 5 travelling together and stayed in two of the family rooms. Both were completely different from each other but offered plenty of space and comfy beds. Our group of 9 gathered in the larger of the two family rooms (801) for post...

This was my first stay at a bed and breakfast, and now I'm afraid it's set too high of a standard when I visit other ones in the future. My group of four—my boyfriend, his friend, my friend, and myself walked into the check-in area and were pleasantly surprised for our NYE 2017 mini-vacation. We realized that I had picked...

This is a fun place to stay if you like old buildings! We stayed in room 705, with a working fireplace (need to pay for a pressed log, though) and a great jacuzzi tub! High ceilings, original brick walls, fun artwork, and much lovely original woodwork. Delicious breakfast as well. Just be aware there are no elevators and steps into...

Whenever we travel, we try to stay at unique, small, locally owned b&bs and inns. As travelers do, we've developed an admittedly unique criteria along the way: Friendliness and helpfulness of staff is super important to us.. 4. Stars- Breakfast staff... I could never be that cheery at 7 a.m. Thank you! Other staff was pleasant, but we felt no...

Visited this B&B on a quick two day buisness trip during the week. They are not staffed after 8pm... We arrived around 1030pm, they had the keys with detailed instructions of where to park and how to get to our rooms/ had the room keys ready for us in envelopes when we arrived ( I just called ahead to let...

Auberge Les Bons Matins is perfectly placed to walk to restaurants, shopping, Bell Center; as well as, easy access to highway 720. We stayed in room 701, which is on the second floor at the back side of one of the 3 row houses with possibly original pine floors & brick feature wall, comfortable bed, small bathroom and a café...

This is a really amazing place to stay. It has a nice european charming style. The location is just perfect one step away from the metro station. The rooms are clean, spacious, very pretty and artistic: colorful, big paintings on the walls, the bed is very comfortable. The family suites also have a fire place and jacuzzi in the bathroom...

Very charming and romantic, the Suite is a better way to go as it offers a bit more room than their normal rooms. Location is perfect for several things as the Bell Center was a 5 minute walk and the Metro is a few steps from the front door. Loved it and when we return to Montreal, this will be...

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
