Very friendly, multi-lingual staff; great fresh breakfast [a la francaise!], comfortable bed [single room for me], nice fireplace. For those daunted hindered by climbing stairs in this no-elevator walk up, that factor is something to consider, however. Some rooms are soundproofed.

Firstly the location. Although it is fairly centrally located, the "hotel" is wedged between a sex shop with sordid, sleazy and lurid window displays, and a beer and wine shop. There are no lifts/elevators so I had to walk up steep narrow stairs to ask where to park the rental car, grunted by the sour young guy on the desk...

Bonjour, This review is very disappointing on so many levels. We did not deliver our great service we are known for and expect from our employees. There are so many aspects of this review that are concerning. We have looked into who was working on October 4th when you arrived and have already spoken to two employees about this review....

The Hotel Quartier des Spectacles is located next doors the subway stop and is in the entertainment/LGBT district. I liked the atmosphere in the area since it felt really safe and there where many people having a good time. It is not really far from the old-montreal but i would recommend you to stay there after reading my review. I...

Hello, I'm sorry for the mistake. But we already gave you a big discount on your price and the breakfast is not including in this price ( 68$ for studio). My first receptionist maked a big error, he forgot to register you in our system ( even if you payed by cash, we have to pay tax), that why the...

Don't be put off by the Erotika Shop (very tasteful display in window and a great "photo op"!) and 31 steps to the Reception Desk. Because the first thing visitors see are Erotika and all the stairs, the staff goes above and beyond to make your stay an excellent experience. No carpets so the floors are clean and shiny. In...

We spent 4 great days with our 3 children in Montréal and the Quartier des Spectacles Hotel was a big part in this enjoyable stay. Rooms are quiet and clean. Location is in the middle of the lively area in Montréal (we did not use the car for 4 days). And the team is really helpful. Again: great value !...

Stayed in hotel for four nights while in Montreal for a conference. Entrance is above a "sex" shop. Good for a laugh. Check in polite and fast. Check in guy puts his coat on, takes us back outside and around to the back of the building. That's a first! Lol. We went up a steep set of stairs to our...

Thank you for the review. Yes we do have 4 apartments that we rent out in a building that is connected to us. They are very big and are very much like having your own apartment in Montreal. We tell all our guests over the phone about this feature though most people now reserve through third party sites so it...

Okay maybe it wasn't luxurious but the name says it "budget boutique Hotel" You get that and lots more. When pulling up to the hotel you have to question yourself if you got it right. Basically the hotel is a small sign hanging off the building and a lot of stairs going up???? That's all you see. On the left...

Hello, Thank you for the review. We do appreciate all comments from our guests as it allows us to improve. Our location is definitely one of our strong points along with service and cleanliness. We’ve travelled extensively in various countries and we know when we decide to stay in a budget hotel, there are compromises and reasonable expectations. We don’t expect luxury or perks. We could deal with the noisy area in Montreal’s red light district (I’m an ex-Montrealer so can handle myself well in the city), the mouse trap under the bathroom sink,...

I'm sorry about what happened to you that day. I was not there that morning, when I arrived, I learned what happened but you have already gone. Stayed here on an overnight visit. The hotel is centrally located to the shopping district and is within a 10 minute walk to Old Montreal. The rooms are modest, but remarkably clean and comfortable. Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
