The hotel is very very dirty and not well maintained. The beds were falling apart...lack of professionalism of front office staff. At night it is horrible, you can hear all the noise of the guest next door and those walking on the top level. You can also hear the train nearby causing lots of noise pollution. The price of the...

Hotel is centrally located, but when I was trying to book true kayak.com it was saying that this hotel has parking witch is not true, but any way there was plenty of parking spaces around hotel on a side streets. Down side there is not a non smoking hotel so be prepared smell cigarette. Good side it is very budged...

Horrible bed. Friendly man when we checked in. However the man for check out was down right rude. I was simply looking for cream for my coffee and he basically scolded me like a child for opening a cabinet to see if there was a fridge with cream. If he had of been doing his job I wouldn't have been...

Not words to describe... One rat eat my Dominos Pizza and recepcionist spoke: It's normal, is a nature. Have pizza, have rats. What do you think? Not room service and a old TV. Just WI-FI save in Hotel.

The good: inexpensive, clean, pet friendly, friendly personell, breakfast included, 12 minute walking distance to Notre Dame basilica. The bad: no free parking. The closest parking was 3 blocks from the hotel at a fee of $21 per 24hrs

Considering the central location, the price is excellent. Would definitely stay here again. The hotel is basic, clean and safe ... and it provides a simple breakfast with coffee available all day long. Who could ask for more?

I booked this hotel out of last minute frustration. We were in town for a hockey game & this was the cheapest hotel that offered breakfast. Stayed in room 200. The tub is so old that it looks filthy. Not dirty but downright filthy! Paint was peeling off the ceiling & our room door didn't close properly. We had to...

Unfortunately my fiance and I had a miscommunication and neither of us booked a hotel to stay at while we were in Montreal. Hotel des Arts was the only thing available at 11pm (perhaps this should have been a red flag). It was overpriced, and the room did not look anything like the pictures. Our bed had stains on the...

I want to take this opportunity to write about my overall experience at this hotel. I recently stayed at Hotel des Arts for 7 days and was highly satisfied with my stay. The fact that this is a two star hotel did not deter me one bit. The room that I stayed in room 106 was very nice and clean...

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
