I will admit that I am a Marriott reward member but choose this place because other Marriotts were sold out. Was pleasantly surprised with this place. Great rooms, great helpful staff, good free internet, good breakfast. Great location for the meetings we had as well as even a decent walk to the Bell centre for a Canadian Game!!

Old Montreal exudes its Québecois historic and romantic appeal with a plethora of trendy restaurants, art galleries, museums, shopping, architecture and culture all packed inside its charming environs. The Marriott SpringHill Suites is ideally located in its centre. All of the following within easy walking distance ‒ The Palais des Congrès, Bank of Montréal Head Office, Marché Bonsecours, Notre-Dame Basilica...

Fantastic location and very good value. Not only one of the less expensive options in Old Montreal but able to stay with a Marriott to get benefits of elite and points. In particular the entire front desk staff was outstanding and provided a lot of value. Late checkout was amazing before a 20 hour trip and Dominique in particular stood...

This hotel is on a side street, very close to the Port. Only a block away is Old Montreal with all the quaint shops and restaurants. The hotel is very clean and modern. Our room consisted of two beds, with a sofa sleeper, large bathroom with vanity outside of the actual bathroom. Kitchen area with sink, microwave, fridge and some...

My fabulous wife and I spent a few days in Old Montreal and we stayed at the SpringHill Suites in Old Montreal. The hotel is connected to a very nice restaurant/bar that we took advantage of for a drink before walking down to McGill St for dinner. The room was very comfy with a couch and a fridge and a...

We had a wonderful room at a great price. Buffet breakfast included. Clean and roomy. Staff were kind and friendly. Lots of great restaurants nearby and the subway is a 5 minute walk. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed here our last time in Montreal and returned because of its great location. Hotel staff were extremely helpful-- making restaurant suggestions, calling taxis and handing out maps and directions for whatever we needed. In the breakfast room we found the same service attitude with staff offering coffee refills and clearing tables. Usually these self-service breakfast rooms are all self-service....

On our first visit to Montreal, picked this property to stay at and was not disappointed. The location is a little difficult to find as it is tucked in an alley behind a main road, but it really is well situated so as to allow you to walk pretty much anywhere in Old Montreal, with a great many restaurants, bars...

Just back from a lovely stay at the Springhill suites. Do book the larger suites though as the smaller rooms (KIng plus sofa) are small unless you are a couple. We were a couple of girlfriends and definitely found it cozy! Brilliant location. Walked out door at you are right in the heart of old Montreal. You are minutes away...

Stayed at SpringHill Suite this past weekend. Great location and super nice staff. We were treated really well. Our room was comfortable and pretty nice for the price point and location. The fan/ac was pretty loud but we dealt with it. Parking was seamless and we didn't need our car at all once we checked in. Check in was great...

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighbourhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic centre of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its centre, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theatre.
