The only good things about Hotel Viger during our one night stay was the great location , very reasonable price & being allowed to check in early . Everything else was just awful, the room was dilapidated, dark & depressing to be in, definitely not somewhere that you would choose if you got to see it first. We were so glad...

The room was in poor shape other than the bed which was clean and comfortable. Night table drawer broken and hanging at an odd angle. Big iron shaped burn on the carpet in the entrance to the room. Washroom had mold on the ceiling + the shower head was leaking and rather than using the proper teflon tape to fix...

Whilst the Hotel Viger doesn't appear to have been refurbish shed or even redecorated in some considerable time, here I am on my fourth stay over a 12 year period. It is quite simply my hotel of preference in Montréal. It is small and quirky and neglected, but it is clean and comfortable in all the essential ways. Given that...

This place is cheap for a reason. It has not been upgraded for a while, so it does look dated. But this is reflected in the price. Nonetheless, we still found hairs on the pillows and hairdryer. It's one bonus is the location. It is very close to the centre and you can reach most places by walking.

It was a clean and good hotel in general. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Very friendly. But internet was the worst I have ever seen. You have problem to connect to internet. You need to try several times. You also get disconnected a lot. You are in the middle of a job and see that the internet is...

Rooms are clean, and done daily. The staff is caring. French breakfast. Perfect downtown location! We were really happy there, and will come back! I made a mistake in my booking, and as a result came a week earlier. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us during the busiest time - weekend when everything is booked.

We stayed at this hotel as a pit-stop from our trip to Quebec City. Location was great as its steps away from the Montreal Lakeshore area. Rate was really low for a downtown Montreal place, but not surprising as the hotel is very 'basic'. In fact from the outside, the place looks run-down. PROs: The hotel staff are really nice,...

The rating given to this B & B is simply for location. It is smack in the middle of Old Montreal and New Montreal. We totally enjoyed the best of both worlds. Every year my partner and I visit Montréal for Fierté. Unfortunately, we booked our hotel late and had to stay at the Hotel Viger, located at the corner of Rue Viger and St. Hubert. Staying in Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)

Neighbourhood Profile
Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)
Named for the Olympic Stadium complexes built for the 1976 games, the Olympic Park and the surrounding neighbourhood of Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa) make up an invigorated area dedicated to "Space for Life." Around the Olympic Village's arenas and stadiums, Rue Sherbrooke welcomes exploration of its sculpture gardens decorated in the works of Jean-Paul Riopelle and its museum culture headed by the historical Château Dufresne. Maisonneuve Park offers interactive experiences at its bio-dome, insectarium, planetarium, and botanical gardens. For a change of scene, the gentrified space along Rue Ontario Est is packed with the city's newest, edgiest cafes, where an imaginative, youthful crowd sips foamy cappuccinos. A visit here is incomplete without stepping into the vast halls of the Maisonneuve Market, with flower stalls, wine depots, and local produce.
