The hotel was cute from the outside, and the location was excellent. It was centrally located for McGill University, and close enough to walk up to Parc Mont-Royal. Our room was pretty and clean, but the hotel in general was kind of run down and hard to get in and out of. The parking situation was pretty awful; all the...

I was in town to watch two Red Sox games. I wanted a low cost, clean place, free parking and free internet. This hotel fit what i was looking for. The bride would not have been pleased as she is more particular than I. I met 3 staff members. All seemed very polite and friendly. i did have to park...

There is noone at night at the reception. However, there is a bell to call someone to come. It works perfectly! I rang the bell at 1am and it took just a single Minute until the man came. It took me some time to figure out where the heater is and how it works (in my room, it was half...

This is a pretty bare bones hotel. However, the staff is friendly, the room was clean, and the breakfast is free. Free parking behind the building as well, first come first served. This is probably one of the better budget hotels in the city.

Despite this being a budget hotel, the hotel staff was helpful and courteous, from reception to the people bringing us our breakfast. There are parking spots at the back, first come, first serve. The cars are parked back to back, you can leave the keys at the front if you want to move it. We left our car there the...

This hotel is just 10-15 minutes walk from Rue Crescent (popular for nightclubs and trendy restaurants) and maybe 20 minutes walk to Old Montreal. Staff were all wonderful and helped us park our large SUV in the narrow lanes out back. You have to leave your car keys with reception as they have to be able to move cars to...

Near to shopping destination like china town or st catherine. You will have no problem if you love to walk. Friendly staff and very helpfull. All good but not so much on the breakfast. Maybe they could have alternative other than bread only.

This is not the hotel I was expecting. It is very outdated. Must say the personnel was very welcoming. Exchange for a better room, no charge for upgrade. Was told it had continental breakfast, was not offered. The parking is behind the hotel and have to walk up metal stairs oo walk a 1/2 block to the front of the...

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
