We stayed 3 nights. Ear plugs resolved minor traffic noise problem. All in all this place is better than a 5 star hotel. Loved it! After traveling for 3 weeks it was great to have space, a washing machine and dryer, a lovely apartment and no hassles.

The apartment we stayed in was a great was to end our trip! Best location in old port Montreal. With rue St. Paul at the door step along with a great selection of restaurants and cafes. Highly recommend olive et gourmando for great food and the best coffee around that area hands-down! Apartment was amazing, very clean and spacious. Would...

I stayed in Apt 302 from August 20-24. The location is fantastic, with access to many art galleries and restaurants within 2 blocks. The kitchen was great (with dish soap, paper towels, etc), had a large refrigerator, and it even had a dishwasher with detergent. The apartment was very quiet, and there was more than enough closet space. The bed...

Had a wonderful stay in room 301! Gorgeous room with windows overlooking St. Paul street and St. Laurent! Windows are extremely beautiful but also extremely thin which proved to be a bit of a nuisance with the early morning road construction below, but that is just a minor complaint. Kitchen was very clean and came with all the necessities. Groceries...

Kokila was welcoming and lovely, very easy to work with. Place was super clean and charming, everything you need except for laundry detergent and a bath plug (but these are details!) We were in walking distance to everywhere in Old Montreal. The only drawback for us was that they were completely redoing street surface starting at 6:30 every morning, and...

We stayed there as a family of 6 and we loved it! The parking was not a huge issue as there are a few parking lots close by. Big, spacious and comfortable. These are apartment hotels (ours with 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms) very suitable for family travel. the only thing you need to know is, there is no daily cleaning...

My two adult daughters and I stayed from July 4th to 10th. It's a nice older building with just a door off the street. Walking distance to the waterfront, lots of eating places, outdoor patios, historic buildings to tour, shopping, walking tour, hop-on-off bus, etc. Our rooms were on the 3rd floor and were very nice - very clean and...

We were pleasantly surprised by the room and the location to the cobble stone street of St. Paul which was steps away from our room. Kolika was awesome to deal with and extremely accommodating to any special requests. I would highly recommend these apartments to anyone looking for a prime location in the middle of Old Montreal and only steps...

We stayed here with our 1 year old and 3 year old while my husband was in town for a one week business trip. Why? 1. There is a kitchen. So helpful to not HAVE to eat out every meal. 2. We could see the Science Centre from the window - and we used it as a play centre. 3....

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighbourhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic centre of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its centre, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theatre.
