Spent a few nights over new years in montreal. On the recomendation of friends stayed at Le Cartier B&B in the gay village area just off st Catherine's near Papineau. Terrific place. Lovely room with private bath and an additional room in our case set up like an office or den. Breakfast was continental but the fridge was well stocked...

Everything about this place is right. Owner Richard and helper Scott are fun and super helpful. The place is spotless, really nicely furnished with en suite bathrooms and lots of thoughtful touches throughout. Particularly good for two couples sharing one well equipped kitchen. Location is great for access to the village. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful three day stay at Le Cartier in the midst of a snowstorm. Our room, a two-room suite with private bath, had two queen size beds and was lovely, immaculate, quiet, and warm, very comfortable. And our host, Richard, was beyond helpful, giving us a orientation to the city when we arrived, recommending restaurants and sites, and...

The location is perfect. Metrostation very nearby and you can also walk to the latin quarter. The owner is very friendly and tell you everything you can do in Montreal. We had a room in the first floor, we could open the window and have fresh air.

My husband and I had a wonderful time in Montreal due to this wonderful B&B. The owners(Richard&JC) made us feel right at home. Richard gave us perfect advice about touring the city including some of the best restaurants without breaking the bank. I totally recommend this B&B. We will definitely come back!

Two lovely bedrooms with separate bathroom and sitting areas of their own with a shared eat in kitchen area, made for our own beautiful apartment in the village in Montreal. The metro and buses are right there and plenty of shopping and places to eat and drink! Richard and JC were very attentive and the restaurants they recommended were very...

This is everything I want in a B&B -- great value, clean, convenient location, charming and with friendly, helpful hosts. Just 1/2 a block from the Papineau station, you can get just about anywhere in Montreal in less than 15 minutes. And you can walk to the center of town in about the same amount of time. Richard gave us...

Stayed for three nights. Very clean and well maintained. We had a suite which I recommend if you're staying for a few days and there is more than one person. Very roomy with a private bathroom, comfortable sofa, and seating area for eating. JC and Scott are friendly and knowledgeable. We didn't get to meet Richard unfortunately as he wasn't...

Staying in Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)

Neighbourhood Profile
Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)
Named for the Olympic Stadium complexes built for the 1976 games, the Olympic Park and the surrounding neighbourhood of Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa) make up an invigorated area dedicated to "Space for Life." Around the Olympic Village's arenas and stadiums, Rue Sherbrooke welcomes exploration of its sculpture gardens decorated in the works of Jean-Paul Riopelle and its museum culture headed by the historical Château Dufresne. Maisonneuve Park offers interactive experiences at its bio-dome, insectarium, planetarium, and botanical gardens. For a change of scene, the gentrified space along Rue Ontario Est is packed with the city's newest, edgiest cafes, where an imaginative, youthful crowd sips foamy cappuccinos. A visit here is incomplete without stepping into the vast halls of the Maisonneuve Market, with flower stalls, wine depots, and local produce.
