This is yet another example of how some hotel owners are much better at managing their online rating & social media than running an actual hotel, let alone a B&B. They know that a decent breakfast, more often then not, lets them get away with the less glorious details. Like, for instance, mouldy showers, noisy neighbours, rather tiny rooms with...

Well appointed room with en suite bath. Good location near Berri UQAM metro stop. Can walk to old town in 20 minutes. Good breakfast on roof top patio. Not suitable for people with mobility issues, steep stairs, some uneven floor surfaces. Be advised, as of this date practically every street in Montreal is torn up. Expect traffic, delays and LOTS...

We stayed one day at Le Simone. The B&B is located very well. Just some minutes walking away from Rue Saint Denis and rue Catherine (both streets with restaurants and bars). Approx. 15 mins walking from old Montreal and old port. Staff is really nice. The house is decorated with love, it has nice wooden floors and has a nice...

We arrived in Montreal our first stop in Canada and we ve found Le Simone a cosy and pleasant accomodation. Great location closed to restaurants and metro/bus station, staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast with buffet and pancakes/omelette delicious.Room big and clean with all the conforts.

We stayed here for 3 nights on a recent vacation to Montreal. The location is ideal for the Metro. Parking for our car was not near the B and B but in a nearby underground parking garage at very reasonable rates at $12 for 24 hours which is cheap compared to Chicago. We were able to unload our bags in...

A gem of a B&B in the heart of Montreal. It's close to everything. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good - even better when the sun is out and you can sit on the back terrace. There are bike rentals just outside the front door.

What I like about this B&B: -the close proximity to Berri-UQAM metro station (the exit with Place Dupuis is like 50 metres far away); this means quick and efficient connection everywhere, including the Aerobus 747; -the lovely room (mine was number 9), with wooden floor, plenty of space for clothes, comfortable bed and lovely sheets, good wifi signal, flat screen...

Staff were very friendly and helpful, room was spotless & well decorated. The breakfast was superb and freshly made to order, the location was excellent as it was very close to bus 5 min walk & train station a 3 min walk, bar close by and places for food too. Only issue was the stairs so pack light.

From the time we registered to the time we left, we felt as though we were with family. The feeling starts with Rock, the inn-keeper. He welcomed us with a genuine feeling of bonhomie and a familiarity that made us feel truly and warmly welcomed. In fact, since our French leaves something to be desired, he made calls to more...

I stayed at Le Simone (although I booked at Le Chasseur) for my 2 first nights in Montréal before heading to Québec. It was well located, very close to the bus station. Small but cosy, but to avoid if you have mobility issues. Very hard and narrow stairs, the bathroom was upstairs. Very friendly staff, tasty breakfast (they cook pancakes...

Staying in The Village (Gay Village)

Neighbourhood Profile
The Village (Gay Village)
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomised by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.
