Extremely friendly hosts, comfortable bed, convenient location, lovely city, what more could you ask for? Close to a metro line and to fantastic restaurants, not far from downtown ant other attractions.

Room was cozy basement one, near patio, small windows but nice comfy bed. Would be great to enjoy the patio in warmer weather. Best part is the small nature of the place and the generosity of the hosts. It was fun to chat with travelers at breakfast & Guy is so sweet! Location is very nice to explore the gay...

This B&B was wonderful in every way. The hosts are thorough and attentive. Even before we arrived, they sent a welcome e-mail that included suggestions on sites to see and places to eat. When we arrived, one of the owners toured us around the house and went over a map of the city with us, circling things we should see....

We stayed four nights at La Loggia. It is a well-run B&B where the owners are clearly putting some effort to add thoughtful touches, but we found the place had some important flaws. For example, we had booked a triple room but it came with one of the double-beds being an airbed, not the most comfortable bedding for four nights....

Nothing more to say: Rooms are beautiful, hosts are very sweet, breakfast is amazing at a wonderful location. This B&B is located in Montreal in walking distance of many pubs, restaurants and stores. In general we're very picky when it comes to where we sleep. With la loggia we found a perfect place to stay.

This was at least our third stay at La Loggia and the first in four years. Being a relatively small establishment (I believe there are only 5 or 6 rooms and at least two share a bathroom) we had booked the Garden Room (our favorite) months in advance. Owners Rob and Joel and staff Lauren and Guy go out of...

A great B&B in the heart of a beautiful, thriving neighborhood. Breakfast in their garden felt like an escape from the city. Rob, Joel, and the fellow travelers were always willing to help find fun things to do in Montreal. Would stay here again and again!

Rob and Joel are great hosts and created a true gem right in the heart of the village. The rooms are tastefully decorated and offer all the amenities you might need. The breakfast is sumptuous and if weather permits one can enjoy it in the urban garden. You can discover the shopping district by walking and/or taking the subway, which...

La Loggia is a great location, right in the middle of the Gay Village and within walking distance to dozens of bars and restaurants. It's clean, well run, and we were welcomed like family. The breakfast was superb - eggs, french toast, fresh fruit, cheese, coffee. We stayed three nights and on the last day had beers and chatted about...

Staying in The Village (Gay Village)

Neighbourhood Profile
The Village (Gay Village)
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomised by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.
