The Loft was a perfect base for our stay in Montreal. We had a lovely, warm bedroom on a quiet street, a small den, dining room and full kitchen, all with a modern vibe. Free parking made it very easy to travel, but I preferred the bike share dock a little over a block away. The proprietor of the Loft...

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Our ground floor loft was stylishly furnished and came with its own little balcony where we sat outside for a glass of wine each evening. The bedroom was beautifully decorated, air conditioned and comfortable and the kitchen well stocked with everything we could need. Rue Cartier is a leafy quiet...

We stayed in Loft 2 (I think,it's been a while) and it was perfect for our needs. We prefer having b'fast in when we travel, as well a wine/ cheese precursor to dinner out. We were able to walk (about a mile) to a French bakery with probably the best gluten-free pastries I've had anywhere! This loft is in a...

A wonderful loft stay. Close to L'Avenue Mont Royale. Loft was clean and comfortable. Bonus: Parking was available for free! It is a home away from home. If you enjoy walking than the downtown core is a 20 minute walk but well worth it. I would definitely return.

Arrival went easily, instructions were provided before arrival. Room was pleasantly modern: 1 bedroom w/ sofa bed. Standing shower, full kitchen, dining space and sitting space. Climbing stairs with bags could be a challenge for some as they are outside and winding. Staff was great, attentive, pleasant and helpful. Not a hotel, no room service. Neighborhood was cool, lively (noisey...

Travelers from out of state really rely on reviews when choosing lodging, so thanks to TripAdvisor we settled upon Loft Jacques-Cartier, and they did not fail to disappoint! Very easy to get to and the location is perfect. Every morning we went for a run down the beautiful and scenic Rue Duluth to Parc Mont-Royal and back, stopping for croissants...

This place certainly did not disappoint. Although very snowy when we got there (and it seemed to be hard to find), it wasn't at all! Located a short bus ride away from the nearest metro station, it was close to everything - at a stunningly reasonable price. The apartment has a steep spiral suitcase on the outside (if you're staying...

I stayed there with my husband and our 18th month old daughter for 6 nights and enjoyed everything about it. The apartment in sparkly clean and well situated in trendy Plateau Mont-Royal. Mio is very kind and was very helpful with us. We had to shorten the length of our stay and she kindly accepted and refund us. Just beware...

These full size apartments are well located and have been done to a very high standard. Everything you could possibly want is included, with the kitchen in particular fully stocked for self catering. I slept better than I have in some years as the bed was so comfortable. It is close (walking distance) to a very reasonably priced restaurant district...

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.

“The second floor does involve stairs but they are really not bad unless you're handicapped. We did not have a problem with them.”

“The two ground-floor apartments (4046 A and B) are the most convenient, and more than adequate for a single or couple. 4040, 4042, and 4044 are larger. I didn't see 4040, but the other two have essentially the same layout with a separate kitchen, dining room and living room. I would recommend 4044, which is on the second floor.”
