Our host was fabulous. He shared much history of Quebec, Canada, and the Oldest store in Quebec City, Jim. A. Moisan. By far, the breakfasts were the most delicious food that I have ever had in the many B&Bs that we've stayed in. The rooms were small, but well decorated with antique furniture and accessories. We met some friends there...

I had read a review of this inn many years ago in the Boston Globe Travel section. Over the years I tried to make a reservation but the inn was always booked. I succeeded this year in securing a two night reservation over a weekend, and the wait was well worth it. First, this inn is NOT located in the...

Everything was perfect. Rooms are beautifully appointed, breakfast was elegant and nourishing, and our host knew Quebec City history and locations. Home is in a perfect location to great shops and restaurants, and outside of the old city so you are not amidst tourists all the time. Remember, there are narrow stairs to all the rooms, so pack accordingly.

They have done it correct! The bed is very comfortable and the breakfast is fabulous. The host, Clement, was always cheerful, presenting the food and explaining about each dish. It was truly a gourmet experience. The rooms were a tad small, but very clean and furnished beautifully. When we return, we will book here!

I love staying here, the home is absolutely beautiful, the market downstairs is fun to explore, the rooms upstairs are like staying in a doll house. The bedrooms are small and intimate with everything you could use and the chandelier adds the finishing touch. The walls are thick and the window looks out on life in Quebec City. It is...

Stayed 5 nights at this wonderful auberge.Every morning was a gourmet experience. Presentation and explanation in detail from Clement the owner made your mouth water. The auberge has four double rooms with no TV or phones, which we thought was great !!. Clement and his Wife (the chef) were delightful, so friendly, Clement is a Historian , andt his knowledge...

We stopped in to pick up snacks for an in-hotel meal one night. Grey Owl cheese was our favourite, but the cured meat, pate, sourdough baguette and artisanal beer all played their part. Helpful and friendly staff both times we visited. Stocked up on goodies for the ride home.

Thank you Clement and Natalie for your hospitality and wonderful service! For those looking to travel to Quebec City, this is a very clean bed and breakfast with charming rooms and excellent hosts. An amazing breakfast/brunch is included in the stay and cooked on site in their personal kitchen. It is within walking distance of many landmarks and old Quebec.

Before coming across J.A. Moisan on a list of foodie places to visit in Québec, my wife and I didn't realize that it was a dream of ours to stay above the oldest grocery store in North America, but we quickly made our reservations when we discovered the Epicerie doubled as a bed and breakfast. We could not have had...

Agree with all the positive reviews. Clement is a great host - he will take your car away and bring it back when required - and we loved all rooms. There were four of us and we picked Ludivine's and Antonio's rooms. Loved his decor, which is steeped in old world charm; the beds were comfortable, the linens were lovely...
