The hotel is actually a chateau built in the 1880's. It was later turned into 8 apartments and then completely renovated into the resplendent B & B that it is today. The drawing and living rooms are amazing. We stayed in a bedroom which also serves as a library, and then in a spacious and comfortable suite. The Innkeeper, Phillipe...

This B & B is perfection. The attention to detail in the restoration and history of this historical building is evident in every single room of this Chateau du Faubourg B & B. Philippe is the kindest host and made a phenomenal spread for breakfast. You can not possibly leave hungry. He even had gluten free bread for my friend...

We took a trip to Old Quebec City for our 10 year anniversary and couldn't be more pleased. Service was excellent. Phillipe did everything he could to make our stay enjoyable. Stayed in the Belanger Suite on the 2nd floor. Most of the time we thought we were the only guests! ( we know that is not true). Rue St...

We stayed only one night and had to depart before breakfast, but the accommodations were gorgeous! We had a large suite beautifully decorated with period pieces and were steps away from Old Quebec. The location is excellent--though we were a little stressed finding a place to park the car to check in. The inn includes parking in a shared garage...

This wonderful B&B provided just what we needed to experience the charm of Quebec City. Arriving in front of Le Chateau du Faubourg set the stage for a step back in recent history. I can't offer any new info except to reiterate the positives already highlighted by other happy guests - tasty and generous breakfast...with French press coffee - relaxing...

Loved the place. We found it quiet, private, private bath, clean, great price and conveniently located. We could walk everywhere, great coffee shops near by, pubs, and old Quebec with its shopping, restaurants, and plenty of kind locals all around. Highly recommend this place, it's charming atmosphere gives it that personal touch to your stay in Quebec City❤️

We rented the Houde-Dussault Suite with 2 bedrooms for two couples and stayed for the weekend. The accommodation was good and we made full use the of the sitting area to play some cards and have a few drinks before heading out for the evening. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were a bit warm with dry heat and the...

If you cannot get in to the Chateau Frontenac....... This is a small chateau in the heart of Quebec City. There are many places to eat close by on the Rue Saint Jean. If you follow Rue Saint Jean east you can easily reach all the places of interest. To top it off, Phillipe makes an excellent breakfast.

My husband and I love to travel and staying at bed and breakfasts gives us a chance to experience our chosen destination with a local host and often to experience a home that has been nurtured through the centuries. This home exceeded our expectations and made for a wonderful 3 night stay in Quebec City in a great location to...

Excellent place to stay. Walking back into history, extremely comfortable and awesome breakfast each day. Loved that they had a spot for us to park our motorbikes inside. Fantastic! Just a short walk from gate for Old Quebec. Perfect location.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Location, location, location as they say! A French Second Empire style private and restored chateau in the heart of Quebec City. One of the best values in historical Quebec City that includes your breakfast. We also have some parking spaces available which are a rare find in old Quebec. We have suites and rooms at various rates that would accommodate most traveling budgets. Every suite and room has air conditioning, private bathroom (shower or bathtub), cable TV, coffee machine and free wifi. Our rooms and suites also offer quality mattresses and linen. All rooms have been restored. From the chateau, most of the desirable tourist attractions are at walking distance. We are a few steps from the Quebec convention centre, old Quebec and the Parliament hill. Come to visit and experience the chateau life style of the XIX century but modernized to the XXI. Le Chateau du Faubourg has definitely this European feeling since the style and architecture are very Francais. Hope to see you soon in our wonderful historical city! ... more   less
