Etienne was so accommodating. We came in early and she kindly let us check in after having maid finished our room. Room was nice: second floor of second building. Good linens, mattress, but very dark dim lighting in both room and bathroom. Small things like no shampoo etc, having to go to front desk to purchase kurig cups for in room coffee maker, seemed a bit chincee after paying $200/night. But then, again Etienne made up for that when, once again she let us in early for breakfast that was delicious . Something to be noted…..Perhaps designating just 1 of 9 outside seating areas for smokers might be nicer then having them sit on the street corner.

I was slightly bemused by the "gift" at check in of a K-cup and milk for coffee in the morning. The room was basic, small, with no view but comfortable. I had to get a 6 am ferry the next morning so there wasn't tome for coffee, let alone breakfast. I have no complaints but would look for someplace more welcoming (the Hotel Tadoussac if possible) if I ever get the chance to come back.

We had two lovely nights at Hotel Pionnier and could not have imagined a better place to stay in Tadoussac. A very pleasant room with an amazing view of the lake. A good coffee machine in the room. Very friendly receptionists and staff. Thanks for making our trip even better - we hope to be back!

Be careful as to the kind of advertisement they make about their breakfast. All they offer is a croissant and a muffin and show zero flexibility with that breakfast. They refuse to provide seconds to those still hungry, and refuse to switch the muffin to a second croissant. The reception Staff were very pleasant and helpful but the same cannot be said about the regular staff member who serves the breakfast.

Our standard double Room had coffee machine but no milk or coffee satchets, had hair dryer and fridge, fan. It was on ground floor so we dint hv to climb. Location was amazing. We could walk everywhere. Intermarche supermkt next door and boutiques and restaurants on street. Lovely river view in front. Jetty for whale cruises within 5 minutes walk. The lady at reception(feel terrible tht we dint get her name) was wonderful. Since we dint have a car, she picked us up and dropped us to the intercar bus stop which was 1.5 kms away over steep incline. We are really grateful to her. She refused to take payment. Amazing customer service. Fixed breakfast was available fr 9 CAD. We hd omlette, 2 toast and butter, potato wedges, bacon or sausages, cut fruit, coffee and orange juice. You have to pay 1.5 CAD fr each extra. Though the staff does not speak english at all, we managed with gestures. They were very sweet ladies, always smiling and helpful  · Room and Double bed was small in standard double room. Unless you are a young romantic couple, it is a bit tight. Also light was quite dim. Wifi dint work on the first day and on our last day morning. Shower cubicle is tiny

Confortable, quiet and functional rooms. Some with view on the St-Lawrence River. Minimal breakfast - but they did accept to toast my gluten-free bread slices. A bit on the expensive side - but understandable because of the seasonal affluence in this nice little town. Close to all local attractions.

We spent three nights here in July. The rooms are compact but adequate, with comfortable beds and good facilities. We had great breakfasts and the adjacent portion of the hotel and wonderful service from all of the staff- we even encountered the woman owner cleaning the rooms on the weekend :). The property has a wonderful view over the bay, even our room from the side window. There is parking outside, and only a short walk downhill to the beach and marina. Along the way you can find many restaurants, reasonably priced with nice food. We loved our stay in this beautiful town.

The internet supplied by the hotel was sketchy but I found the signal from the tourist office and used that in my room. It worked fine. The room was really small and very hot. No air conditioning. It was exceptionally warm out, 32 degrees. There was a fan. The worlds smallest bathroom, no fridge but the desk clerk was happy to provide free buckets of ice. The breakfast was excellent and free unless you book the room through booking.com in which case you pay $8. Still the best price in town. Restaurants are super expensive here. Very reasonable grocery store. Great central location, walk to harbour and boats for whale watching. The boat ride is really worth it. $80 well spent. Room was $157 inc. tax. Far too expensive for a poor room.

Just came back from a 4 day trip in Tadoussac. The hotel was very accomodation with our needs, always with a friendly smile! Location, location....Facing the St.Lawrence Estuary, walking distance to the beach, the cruise terminal, restaurants and, of course, gift shops. Clean hotel. Mrs. S.Paul Montreal Area

The location was very nice and the place was very clean. However as someone else mentioned there was no AC and it did get hot in the room. The Wifi was also very slow in the evening/night when more people were accessing it.
