This is a beautiful heritage building with a colorful history and an awesome locale. We have stayed in many B&B across Canada and this one has great potential however......???? We stayed in the Victoria Suite and we were comfortable and all our needs were met although not what we expected from our previous B&B visits. I really don't know how...

I stayed at the Calder House B & B for 3 evenings ...... Mari the innkeeper was very lackadaisical, rude and arrogant.. The coffee was good, however the extremely simple breakfast I requested was royally screwed up every morning. [ toast ] She expected her guests to remove there winter boots in the very cold porch, [ same temp. as...

This is an historic inn stuck in the 19th Century. Reservations require a cash deposit (no credit cards) and communications with the innkeeper are always ambiguous. There is no sense of customer service and ir seems like the guest is there at the whim of the owner. Our reservation was given away and we were stuck without a place to...

After finding this inn through a bed and breakfast, I called the location. The lady answered quite rudely with Hello. I was unsure if I had reached the right number and asked if I was calling a bed and breakfast. She kept arguing that they were a histrionic inn and would not elaborate from there. I then proceeded to ask...

I don't write reviews, but this B&B was bad. Layer of dust everywhere, no heat - the heat was off, with a space heater, fireplace didn't work (stayed in Victoriana Room $110 a night), no shower (just a tub looked dirty or scratched), super creaky floors, electricity went out 6 times, hot water wasn't available in the morning but nice...

I have read some of the reviews and get a sense from their wording the people who chose to slander this fine establishment where seeking an uptight, maid laden, high end, modern facility. A stay at the Calderhouse Inn is in fact not for the pretentious of mind. One would come to the great Calderhouse Inn to unwind and relax,...

What I like about this place from when I stayed was the good food, made from scratch, healthy and tastes so good. Its one of the oldest houses left in the area, which makes it unique and interesting. The trees along the riverbank should be trimmed so that we could see more of a view, but just a short walk...

I stayed here for 2 nights with my husband and we loved it! We got an entire suite to ourselves which is way bigger than a hotel suite, and the food was so tasty and better than dennys food or something similar that you would get elsewhere! It was right before Christmas, and the perfect place to stay during the...

There was some misunderstanding in making our reservation to stay here, but we were welcomed with open arms and had a beautiful room. The house is indeed full of furniture and antique objects, but to us that gave it a warm and cozy atmosphere and it makes the house even more beautiful. The place is located at the riverside in...

Calderhouse Inn has a very deceptive listing which features some attractive photography and many extra features such as a jacuzzi The actual house is very disappointing. Upon entrance to the hall, we noticed a distinct musty odor and an untidy entrance. The rooms were incomplete and seemed hastily patched together cheaply to be rented before completion. The windows did not...
