We stayed at Westin for 5 days and 4 nights for our honeymoon. &It was definitely more than enough. We contacted Westin about 3 months, 1 month, and 1 week beforehand letting them know we were celebrating our honeymoon. There were no notes or anything in the room that congratulated us. Rooms: 101- we were originally placed in room 101, which is an overwater villa with pool. The room was very clean and modern. However, the room had no privacy at all, it was right next to the jetty, sea planes and boats were passing through. It was super loud. When we got there I asked our butler if we could switch to a different room, that is farther away from the jetty, he said all rooms were taken...even though he told me the resort only at 25% occupancy. He also said we had the sunset view room, which was lie. We didn't have a sunset or sunrise room. After dinner the first night, we went to the receptionist to voice our concerns. The receptionist told us he will bring it up to his manager and see what they could do. The next day they moved us to room 110. 110- this room didn't have a sunset or sunrise view but the room had more privacy with unobstructed views. However, there were still boats and seaplanes landing and passing by at least once a day. This room had a couple of small ants crawling around the bar area, which I did not appreciate. Food: They only have three restaurants. -Island Kitchen: this is the main restaurant that's opened basically all day. The menu is very limited. You will get bored of the food after 3 days. Breakfast menu is limited and is the same every day. Lunch and dinner menus are the same. -Hawker: opened for lunch and only opened for dinner on Mondays. The lunch and dinner menus are the same. If going for dinner, I recommend reserving because there are only 6 tables. -The Pearl: only opened for dinner. This is a set menu restaurant (~$150 per person). I wish our butler told us this before we booked a reservation. We didn't go in thinking it was going to be fine dining. Sunset bar: we went here for happy hour every day from 6-7pm (cocktails usually $14 but $8 during happy hour. Drinks were excellent but menu was limited. Service: I don't think the staff loves working here. They also seem tired, working almost every day. They seem like they're trying really hard to be nice and have conversations with the guests. - Room Service: they try to clean the room twice daily. The first two/three days it was great! But the last couple of days, no service in the morning and if there were service in the evening, it was late. - Restaurant Service: they were all really nice. There were a couple of staff that kept asking us for our plans the next day or in the evening. They were trying to sell us dinner nights by the beach or in the wine cellular, etc. You'll have to learn how to say no to them. We had three different people come up to use back to back during dinner one night to tell us about their event/promotion/etc. I didn't really appreciate that because I felt like they were just talking to me to try to get something out of me. - Butler: our butler was very minimal. He took a while to respond back to our WhatsApp. He didn't seem like he liked his job or wanted to be around other people. At a certain point, I felt like he was lying to us about things. Example: no available rooms, 101 being a sunset room so I could be happy about it, speaking with another resort that we were supposed to go to afterwards, seaplane being delayed (which I don't know if that's true). We were supposed to leave for a new resort the next morning. We gave them our itinerary in advance. We asked them to have us leave ASAP that morning. Our butler waited until 5-6pm the night before to call and speak to our new resort's representative. Causing us to not be able to get on the first plane at 8am. Then he said our flight was at 11:40am ( that's okay but still late for me). Then at 11:14am, he told me it was delayed and the plane won't come until 2pm. At 11:35am, a sea plane arrived, I'm confident that was supposed to be our plane. We tried to contact him and the reception desk, but no one would respond. Our butler finally responded to us saying that plane was going to a different resort and saying the plane was full. Then receptionist called back saying that wasn't our plane, it was traveling to a different island...which is okay with us because they stop at different resorts before returning to the airport again. I felt as if they lied to us, our butler told us that plane was full, then the receptionist told us that the plane will land and stay at a different place for the rest of the day. For multiple times during my trip, I felt lied to. It was unfortunate that we had to end our stay at the Westin with the seaplane situation. Other than what I have pointed out, we had a great and relaxing trip.

Well getting off the seaplane onto the jetty at the place is a moment I will never forget. All the blues you can think of, stunning sky and sea and lots of smiling people. We were picked up in our buggy and whisked off for a welcome drink and tour of the island which didn’t take long at all. We arrived at the over water villa 102 and my god our reactions when we walked in were of pure elation. You just see the sea instantly and then you start to take in the rest of your surroundings. An incredibly spacious villa, all open plan but doesn’t have to be that way, there were moving partitions if needed. The deck outside is about the width of the villa! Amazing! The pool was incredibly inviting and again a really good size with the ladder going down from the deck into the ocean. We were introduced to our butler Hanim who was so smiley and so helpful for the whole of our stay. The sunset bar is a great place to watch the sunset and have happy hour drinks. There are also restaurants The Pearl and The Hawker which are fantastic. Or there is the main area to eat and drink. There is also another pool for the public by the restaurants. Once we got settled in went to check out the dive centre. Such a great place and fab instructors. We were out on the boat most days either diving or snorkelling especially in Hanifaru where you can snorkel with mantas and we did twice! About 2 days into our holiday we noticed some renovation works going on in the villa next to us. It was quite loud and for most of the day. We informed Hanim our butler and he moved us to room 146 which must be the best over water villa on the whole island. We were on the corner and our view was just of ocean, that was it. No wall to another villa on one side which meant our views huge. We got the direct sunrise in the morning and that was so so stunning. We would eat our breakfast on the desk watching it come up. Some truly special mornings we had. There is also a spa and we did have spa treatments again free of charge due to having to be moved so we were really looked after. The staff were so friendly, and we were very sad to say goodbye to them. I can not recommend this resort enough. I would go back in a heartbeat! Thank you to everyone on the island who made our time there so special!

Our holiday was 6 nights. Starting with arrival to airport: it was an excellent reception by Mr Mahdi; He was very gentle, kind, and make arrangement very smooth They provide luxury car, wifi and lounge. Once, we arrived to hotel; most of staff are waiting for you with warm greeting. They will explain to you everything in hotel and its facilities. The hotel is luxury, peaceful, relaxing and amazing place, where you can enjoy every moment of your holiday. There are many options for villa I recommend to try beach villa and overwater villa with swimming pool For the resturants; there are mainly 2-3 places: Island kitchen; which is the main resturant gives many choices of food (breakfast and dinner). And other we did not try them. Regarding staff, all of them without exception are very very kind and they make sure you are happy and get what you need Special thanks for: Mr Miqdad, he is wonderful, super and gentle man. He is the one who will make sure you are comfortable and satisfied; by providing your needs and solve issues without being hesitated. Mrs Yaz, he is cute and amazing lady as my wife told For me, she is the best and you can find her in Island kitchen. Everyday I asked her for recommended dishes. And she will give you whatever you wish to eat Thanks for Mr Hussam and Mohammed And thanks for all staff

The main reason why we choose Westin was that the transfer was via sea plane and we are a member of the marriot Bonvoy. And the seaplane experience was amazing, it gave the real birds eye view of the Maldive island resorts and the beautiful lagoons. Right from getting out of the Airport to reaching the hotel the process was seamless. We were greeted by a Westing representative at the Airport and she did everything for us from getting the boarding passes for the seaplane to getting us dropped at the dock. At the resort the staff is very friendly, cordial and accommodating a special mention for Yaz and Solomon who were at the island Kitchen restaurant, they made sure that we were comfortable and got what we wanted and also took special care for our daughter’s needs. The Dive centre team was also great and guided us properly on what would be the best for us being new to ocean swimming. Dive centre person Matthias was very kind and friendly. He provides us with snorkels 🤿 to see the ocean creatures. The dive centre is well equipped with snorkel gear, kayaks, and diving gears. We had taken the Family package which included the Dolphin cruise, complementary photo shoot and pizza making class which made our experience more memorable. They also have a really good kids club with a pool and sand which our daughter really enjoyed, the kids club incharge was also really nice and friendly. Our room was a beach facing room with a Plunge pool. The room was spacious and well built with all the latest amenities. We missed the water villas as they didn’t allow family with a 3 year old baby. If you are in this resort, don’t miss the water villas. They are the highlight of this resort The property isn’t that big which is good as makes it easier to go from one place to another. We don’t need to ask for a cart all the time to go to the restaurant etc. which was the problem we faced in the other resort. Overall an amazing resort with great people and a great views of the Maldives.

From the moment we touched down in Maldives, the Westin staff made sure everything was done to make our vacation the best. After we arrived via the seaplane, Miqdad showed us around the resort and was there if we ever had any questions. The service from him and all the staff could not be faulted. The food in all of the resort restaurants was very good also. We would definitely return again to Westin Maldives.
