on a recent trip to butuan we stayed at the karaga hotel on montilla blv.......6 nights for the price of 5 was worth a look.......from the street the hotel looks a little tired inside the same it needs a repaint.new carpet and a more modern decor.......the ground floor is large with the resturant and a karoke bar leading off...mezzanine floors...

From the looks of it, Hotel Karaga may have been one of premiere destinations in Cagara region; located in downtown Butuan along the main thoroughfare leading to the market and bus station, it is close to most places of convenience. The hotel is a bit old; rooms are small, bathroom tiles and fixtures are fading, and the air conditioning unit...

i stayed in the hotel for just a few hours before i left for some walk around the city and finally leaving for the airport. if you are checking in while you'll be coming from the terminal, don't ride the tricycle especially when it doesn't rain. just walk or else the tricy will charge you P100 pesos just like what...

This is our 10th visit to Karaga in the Diamond room. Don't judge this hotel on Western city standards. The staff will do anything for you and are extremely polite and the price is very good. We will continue to return to tis wonderful place

Rooms too small and a bit high for what they have to offer. The room " diamond" is of nice size but no more to offer from the smaller rooms. House keeping doesn't clean the room all that well, and the food not that good either. Some things needed fixing that wasn't getting addressed as it should. The ac units...

This was our ninth visit to this hotel and it still holds a special appeal. Sure its not the most modern hotel but its staff and character makes for a memorable visit. We had the Diamond Suite each visit which has a massive size bed and had 2 stretcher beds for the 2 teenager children. The restaurant downstairs serves breakfast,...

Really not worth it. Hotel Karaga has been a big disappointment. I saw about 4 or 5 rooms and none of them was really worth the money. The standard rooms (800/900 pesos for standard single/double) didn't have any windows or daylight. I ended up taking a single deluxe room for one night for 1300 pesos and found that nothing was...
