We were welcomed by the hotel on arrival & the Wake took place in a lovely room which was decorated very tastefully with views into the grounds. The buffet was just the right amount, comprising of sandwiches, sausage rolls, crisps, scones, jam, clotted cream, tea/coffee & fruit juice. The food was all individually plated & the tables were set out for us to be seated. The hotel was very clean & tidy & had a peaceful outlook. We would definitely recommend this hotel as it's 5 mins from the crematorium so ideal for a Wake.
We chose this hotel as we were flying from Exeter airport early the next day to the Isles of Scilly wonderful place, staff were very friendly nothing was to much trouble. We had to stay a second night as our flight was cancelled, but that was an added bonus.
We felt welcome as soon as we walked through the door. After sanitising at the door, Steve, lovely man, took our details, ensured we knew where the best places to eat were, asked us to complete our breakfast selection, had gluten free options available and nothing, absolutely nothing was a bother. A B&B with a touch of love, it was truly wonderful. The feel is like visiting your granddad and having nana make you all of your favourites, making the room up for you so that it is cosy and ensuring a few treats and toiletries were ready.......it was fabulous. Warm, friendly, beautiful and stunning country views. On our Anniversary morning, they set up a table outside with a fresh pot of coffee and had breakfast served in the crisp morning air. Again, nothing was a bother! Thank you Steve and all of the staff at The Grange Court Hotel for making our stay so memorable.…
When visiting somewhere to stay the night I always think there are two things that are of the upmost importance....firstly the welcome and the service and secondly cleanliness...Grange Court Hotel has both of these...family run and very friendly. A comfy bed and we were luckily enough to have a fabulous view from our room too. The cooked breakfast was yummy and all served with a smile...and all at a reasonable price.
What a gem of a hotel. Hosts Steve and Diane couldn’t be more helpful and welcoming. From the second we arrived we felt at home, warmly greeted and efficiently roomed. The hotel itself was clean, beautifully decorated and boasts a pair of friendly Terrapins that come to the glass when approached :-). Our room was very comfortable and EVERYTHING worked, which is not always the case when we’ve been away. Our Breakfasts on both days were freshly cooked, tasty and filling. Really lovely, family run, establishment. All the more impressive is that Steve can manage all his hard work with such enthusiasm despite being 60 next year. Will definitely visit again. A++
