Our favourite hotel anywhere. Excellent rooms and holiday apartments, lovely scenery, nice beds and linen, good hot showers, an outdoor heated pool that is actually heated in the spring, summer and early autumn. We are always looking forward to our next trip and we live 150 miles away. Sidmouth itself has everything you could want to amuse yourself.

The Sid Valley Hotel is set about three miles outside of Sidmouth in a quiet country lane and overlooks a large wooded valley and pleasant grounds. To some people it may seem remote but if you want a peaceful relaxed stay then you will find it here, yet it is only about a 15 minute drive into Sidmouth seafront. We...

What a place to get peace and quiet. This place is in a world if it's own. Off the beaten track (just) but with friendly atmosphere lovely owners and not forgetting Benson the black lab who must be the most patient and forgiving (if sometimes stubborn ) dog

We were booked into return here after staying before. Unfortunately they did not refund us our £560 when we cancelled the booking with 3 days notice. Apparently they require 7 days notice for a cancellation. We tried calling again to request our monies back but the owner put the phone down on my wife. My wife is a journalist I'm...

This is simply a beautiful, lovely hotel which you cannot fault! Stephen and Sarah are marvellous hosts, friendly, welcoming, thoughtful, nothing seemed to much trouble. Everything from a cup of tea on arrival, the large room (which includes a hairdryer usefully placed by a mirror in the bedroom rather than stuck on the wall in the bathroom), the lounge area,...

We stayed here in May on a particularly cold weekend ! And received a lovely warm welcome from the owners with a tray of tea and biscuits in front of the log fire ! Our room was lovely with a large comfy bed and fabulous views over the valley. The only negative point that couldn't be helped was the that...

The hotel is located in a great location, good for morning runs and evening swims in the pool. The only issue is you need to let the owners know in advance if you plan to have dinner there so that they can prepare. Rooms are varied - some newly redecorated others a bit more dated but all really nice. Wifi...
