We had such a good time on this trip that it would be great to encourage others to stay. The combination of historic accommodation, wild life, untouched wilderness and scenic beauty makes this a special place. We visited the seals every day and enjoyed glorious sunsets and a full moon rising when everyone else was leaving. We were also very...

A wonderful family cottage (Karatta Cottage) with all the requirements for a lovely holiday base. No TV was excellent! Experience the real sounds and lights of the housekeepers of past years. It is a fair drive to get there so catching an early ferry is advisable. Beds were so comfortable, lovely linen, huge fridge, magnificent lounge room and bathroom. Quite...

We (family of 5) stayed in this amazing cottage for 5 nights. It is very isolated, about 2 hours drive from the ferry at Penneshaw. DO NOT GO if you expect wifi, internet, phone and TV!!! This place is all about peace and quiet, being able to see the stars at night, listening to the wind and the waves breaking...

Through SA National Parks contact recommendations, we chose Cape Du Couedic for its remoteness and immersion into surrounding parks. If your are organised, then being here takes you away from the Tourism hype and bus loads .. Getting up early to see some awesome sunrises and capture Admiralty Arch along with Weirs Cove before the hordes is a must... Fauna...

We've stayed at a lot of cottages around Victoria and Tasmania and I have to say that this is one of the nicest, most spacious and private cottages we've stayed in. Would not hesitate to recommend it for families (although be wary of making a racket for the other two cottages staying nearby). Would be WONDERFUL in winter!!

We stayed in Troubridge Cottage for two nights and were the only people staying in the cottages (and the National Park), which was a strange but peaceful experience as we are not accustomed to being so far away from other people. The cottage was very well equipped, had a very comfy bed and even had logs laid ready in the...

I stayed at the Troubridge cottage for two days and nights - with my wife and our two boys 11 and 4. It was an absolutely wonderful experience in a unique location. The nearby spectacular land and seascapes were stunning. The cottage is so simple yet comfortable and even the boys found it a relief to be away from TV...

We were a group of six people, four adults and two children, and we stayed at the Karatta Lodge near Cape du Couedic for two nights. It was a great place to stay just few minutes walk from the beautiful Lighthouse and the magnificent Admirals Arch. The Lodge itself was great and was equipped with everything you need during your...

Heritage but very comfortable accommodation away from the madding crowd. A wonderful opportunity to be in a beautiful setting, near a lighthouse and a seal colony when the day visitors have left is not to be missed. We did some great walks and enjoyed cooking in the cottage. We were given all relevant information prior, so came with provisions etc....

Staying here is definitely not cheap (A$225 a night) and you'll have to stay for a minimum of 2 nights. However, the experience of staying here is certainly worth the dent in your pocket. All the 3 cottages are in their original structure and some original features like the kitchen sink, wood fire stove and laundry tub have also been...
