We stayed here for two nights recently and were happy with the accommodation. KIWR is located just outside the Flinders Chase NP so very handy to see all the sites there. It is set in natural bushland and is pretty remote, so it's handy that there's an onsite restaurant - which is good because it's not safe to drive a...

Stayed there for one night, was a very quiet and relaxing place. Rooms are very nice and clean. What we liked a lt were the Wallabies and Koalas which you can see around when its getting dark. You can borrow a torch from the reception and discover the animals around. The Wallabies come very close to your door as you...

My boyfriend and I spent 2 nights at KI Wilderness Lodge after buying a Groupon Voucher, which made our stay a bargain. We were in an eco lodge room which is their most basic room. The room was clean which is the most important thing, with the bedding and towels being spotless. The room is a old and could do...

It's location is close to the best part of Flinders Chase National Park. The parks visitor center is about 20 minutes away by car, and the Admirals Arch is about 35 minutes away. The retreats restaurant has a good menu, and the food is excellent. The rooms are rustic and adequate, but the staff are helpful and friendly. In the...

This was the perfect blend of comfort, adequate luxury and an immersion in the unspoilt beauty of Flinders Chase. We were impressed by the friendly staff who modelled respect for the environment. The location was perfect with stunning walks within easy reach, all the rooms facing a natural courtyard for visitors to enjoy, even the resident wallabies and possums to...

We were so comfortable at this property, we actually stayed for a week. The location for seeing wildlife nearby and/or a short driving distance away, and right at the entry of Flinders Chase too, was perfect, and we loved the 'wilderness' feeling. Everything is meticulous and so clean. The room was perfect for us: quiet, the bed was very comfortable,...

This seems to be pretty much the only thing going with close proximity to the park so we were pretty happily surprised with the accomodations. While it is not a luxury hotel, the room was clean and had everything we needed. We had a little deck that looked out on the courtyard, and the restaurant had a nice staff and...

When visiting Kangaroo Island you should stay 4 nights. 2 at the western and 2 at the eastern end of the Island. Here Wilderness Retreat comes in as a good choice. Rooms are of a reasonable size and there is a small veranda in front of the room. We catered the restaurant but we find it of an average standard....
