This hotel has a unique exterior and interior design. The theme is very exhilerating and all small efforts are made to satisfy the clients. Activities like bonfire marshmellows, movie night and small game equipment for children and also the pool keeps the clients entertained. The rooms , bathrooms and common room in the tents are really modern and comfortable. The mixture feeling of camping and being at home really sets this hotel apart from others. However, the "windows" of the tent which are like mosquito screens are not very adapted to the environment of this country as the unpredictable rain bounces of ground outside and reaches the inside of the tent. Therefore a wider porch roof would go a long way in preventing the inside of the tent to get wet. In addition, the menu for lunch and dinner was very limited and everything you ordered was spicy even when on the menu it said it wouldn't be spicy. For breakfast everyone had the same thing there was no choice for food or drinks. The crew of the hotel were very helpful however struggled to understand english and didn't know the difference of different cutlery. On the other hand, the activities were well organised and very pleasant, for example during the movie night popcorn and hot chocalate was served to everyone. Overall i give this hotel a rating of 4.2 out of 5.

Our family of 5 adults spend a night at tiarasa on 10-11 July 2020. The journey from Kuala Lumpur only take about 40 minutes of which 20 minutes through the main road and hi way abd the other 20 through traditional Malay village surrounded by jungle. When we arrived at the Tiarasa, the reception was ready and check in was smooth and quick.
Our tent, The White Rajah has a living room and 2 bedrooms, comfortable for 5 people. Our immediate impression was the amenities were more than adequate akin to a 5 star hotel.
Tiarasa was situated in a valley surrounded by hills and mountains in the distance. There was a clean natural water stream running through the site which ones can dip in, or have a picnic while listening to the peaceful water stream sound. Natural forest trees and assortments of beautiful and unique plants and trees plend in as if we were in a botinical garden. In the evening we strolled along the compound paths, enjoying the nature and taking pictures, lots of photo worthy at every angles.
We had early dinner just before the sunset, the restaurant ala safari setting was unique, servers very attractive, and foods delicious (especially the gadogado), perfect dinner in the sunset.
After dinner we sat around the bonfire having family bonding while roasting marshmallow.
Later at night we enjoyed the best movie experience under the stars while having hot chocolates and popcorn.
Sleeping in comfortable beds nature in and around the compound, visiting the vegetable garden, sunbathing and birdwatching.
By the time we were checking out we were already planning on another stay at Tiarasa in the near future.

(And yes I came back with friends in August)

We had a fantastic quick family getaway at Tiarasa Escapes, just a short drive from the city. Nestled in the Janda Baik rainforest, it offers unique safari-style tents and treetop villas. We stayed in one of the tented villas, which was beautifully decorated with traditional Iban Pua Kumbu fabrics and had a charming blend of boho chic and heritage design.

For breakfast, we enjoyed an amazing Western and Malaysian spread at Rasa Café, which was a real treat. Dinner was a delicious BBQ spread along with a few à la carte dishes, including their famous Sarawak laksa. Although it was raining and we couldn’t enjoy the bonfire, we gathered in the TV room and watched a movie together, making it a cozy and memorable evening. It was truly a relaxing and unique escape!

I initially had high hopes as the online videos looked very impressive with a chef, a BBQ, & outdoor dining. Which gave the impression of offering more than glamping.

However it became obvious that not all the features or facilities were available. No BBQ was offered, the menu for lunch and dinner is the same and was extremely limited ,with one veggie choice of mac & cheese.

Walking around the site we tried to buy an ice cream to be shown a very small selection which were all malformed as if they had previously got somewhat thawed.

The site has no alcohol which isn’t mentioned in any of the literature that we saw. A glass of wine with dinner whilst on holiday is always nice.

The treehouse bathroom had a tree running through it, however the corrugated plastic around it allowed lots of rain to enter all over the bathroom floor. As it rained so much overnight we paddled whilst using the toilet. A simple funnel shape around the opening would have stopped this.

The accommodation itself was very clean with picturesque views’

The site is very remote from transport and due to the weather the river walks were unavailable.

On our way to the breakfast area we noted that a number of outdoor eating areas near the river had been set up near for other guests .This option wasn’t mentioned to us.

The breakfast was either Malaysian or we think continental. We didn’t enjoy the Malay breakfast at all.

The staff tried to resolve the veggie options and buy some alcohol but by this time the site had lost its magic so we left a day early. When we checked out no staff member asked us why we were leaving early (we had paid for 2 nights), the manager was in the back office, but didn’t even come out. Whilst waiting for our transport the promotional video was ironically playing in reception showing all the facilities available. My husband and I both looked at each other and wondered if we were in fact at the same site!

The site doesn’t really seem to cater for an international guests.

Don’t go here unless you have everything you need and a car, as there is no on site shop.

Wonderful place in the nature. Relax and rewind by enjoying the sound of nature. The team there is very warm and hospitable.
The resort has good amenities and great facilities. Nice pools, one for kids and one for adult. There is also a small cafe where a la carte food can be ordered. Nice breakfast is included in the room package. It's a most go place to rewind after a busy work week or just to have an enjoyable trip with the family. 1 hour from KL. Very easy to reach including a nice drive with scenery.
For any tourists that love nature: you should plan to go there for 1 to 2 nights.
Thank you to the amazing team. All are so friendly and hospitable.

1. BIG THANK YOU to Naveen, Ammar and the whole Tiarasa Escape ranger crew for being the most warm and welcoming lot! My booking was amended a few times due to MCO and my hectic schedule, but they kindly shifted and changed my check in/check out times without hassle. From start to finish, everything was immaculate. If I needed anything, they were just an SMS away. Buggy rides, meal times, meal venues were arranged properly and they are oh so friendly! Kudos, you guys!

2. We stayed in the Ficus treehouse and that was the best decision ever. Quiet and tranquil, the only ‘noise’ at night were the humming of crickets and the gentle sounds coming from the nearby stream. Moyeng, the lovable cat became an instant friend with my son and kept him company throughout the whole stay. The bathroom is spacious, and the stairs are small and steep so be careful if you have little ones.

3. The food was excellent! Big portions and flavourful. Breakfast/lunch/dinner was either by the river, poolside, in the restaurant, or u can have picnics too. All up to the availability so book in advance during check in. Meals apart from breakfast are not included so be prepared!

4. We were never short for things to do. We played games in the game/TV room, joined the nature walk with Naveen, played ball in the lawn, jumped on the big trampoline, fed the fishes in the stream, swam in the pool for hours, watched Maleficient on the bean bags under the night stars while chewing on homemade popcorn, bbqed marshmallows on the bonfire and went to bed with our hearts full.

We will definitely come back one day, my son keeps on asking me to! Thank you again everyone for such a wonderful and memorable stay.

I couldn’t get enough of this place and it was so sad leaving Tiarasa for home 😅 Everything went perfect and smoothly, and please trust me on this. I’m fussy when it comes to traveling and hotels or the amenities but Tiarasa delivered everything in a 10/10 experience! I was the most happy when I found out that Ficus 1, a treehouse with amazing views was reserved for me on the day of check in, thanks to Ms Zaiton! The treehouse gave me peace and solitude throughout the stay. Although the room was really amazing, there was so much more to do at Tiarasa!

Breakfast, tea breaks, lunch and dinner were all immaculate and tasty, I don’t know how they did that haha. We felt like at home with their friendly and quick service everywhere. I saw Tiarasa’s staffs/rangers using hoverboard/segway and I asked if I can try using them and they happily offered me theirs. Another experience built. We were practically running here and there in Tiarasa’s wide field and played some badminton games and just chatting there right on the field as it was clean and excellently maintained.

They even had preserved forest so that might be one of the reasons why Tiarasa offered us with so much peace and separated from all the sounds of highway etc. The Enderong river placed right inside Tiarasa was amazing. We had a direct access to it and could find ourselves in the river enjoying our time there and even fishing with nets provided by Tiarasa anytime. I also enjoyed the pool very much! It was clean, and there was always Tiarasa’s staffs keeping it clean at all times. It was child friendly too!

We were lucky to have a completely rain-free 3 days at Tiarasa which means that our activities and picnic experiences were all done with! Picnic by the river was niceeee. Something that the city would never offer at all. Loved the simplicity of Tiarasa but with the excellent service. Everyone was helpful there at Tiarasa from check in to check out. We had no issues at all, and not one complaint to report. I definitely recommend coming to Tiarasa and indulge yourselves in the nature being closer to you and of course, take millions of instaworthy photos everywhere you turn your heads to.

Thank you Tiarasa, it was an unforgettable experience ever. Definitely coming back and hope to see you soon!

Nice environment, food so so only, quite bored if it is raining. Room wise is clean, just that the whole property and area depending heavily on the generator, thus if there is no electricity - can't even flush the toilet.

Food wise.. needs lots of improvement.

Activity wise.. might not be suitable for one who seeks to adventurous or more excited activities

Overall.. good for young family and friends.

We have been trying to book this place for awhile, but everytime we tried to book it is always full. So the same for this time, but we somehow got lucky and able to book the Owner’s Tent which comes with 2 rooms with ensuite bathroom.

The Owner’s Tent is located on top of the hill overlooking the whole glamping resort. Beautiful view, the air fills fresh, birds chirping from time to time especially in the morning.

The afternoon picnic by the river was so beautiful. The cekodok tasted so good! We also tried the BBQ Dinner and it was lovely having it at the opened air little restaurant. We didn’t get enough of the picnic, so we decided to have breakfast by the river the next morning. Again it was so superb!

Zaiton the Manager in charge was just everywhere all the time making sure that guests are always in goodhands especially looking after us. Thanks Zaiton!

I loved everything in here especially the pool, the river, the resort layout, the picnic, the Rasa Restaurant, the activities and the room itself. My kids enjoying their time in Tiarasa Escape.

But the things that I don't like is:-

1)the bathroom got problem with their water heater. The water heater not functioning in my room and is already late at night to change the room. The staff should check everything first before let their guest stay in that room. Is a bit turned off when u need to take a cold shower when the surrounding is already cold especially for the kids.

2)the customer service is hard to communicate. It will tooks 2 hours for them to respond to u back and there is no phone inside the room. Need to whatssapp them first and it will took a long time for them to respond.

3)there is NO TV inside the room. So a bit boring especially when it is raining and u can't go out to do the activities.
