Very nice hotel indeed, pretty rooms/bungalows, nicely decorated and spead in a lovely garden with a pool to relaxe after visiting the Uxmal ruins (not too touristy yet). Very nice English speaking staff who take care of a really good restaurant and breakfast, make your stay very enjoyable indeed.

My second stay at Valerie's Pickled Onion and she's maintained the balance of luxe comfort and jungle living perfectly. The avacado soup remains my favorite and the best cool down after a hot morning of touring the ruta puc. Something new to me this trip was the "sky lounge" (my name for it anyhow). Walk to the back of her...

Originally booked one night but then decided to book another night later on. Hence we had to change our huts (which are your rooms). We first stayed in the hut with the king bed and a loft. Our second night we stayed in a smaller one and closer to the road. When booking I would definitely ask for one of...

Thank you for you lovely review it was our pleasure to serve you and we hope to see you again some day I also appreciate your comment about our 5% international transaction fee for using credit cards.... most people are not aware that Mexican credit card holders pay a fee also.... this is common in Mexico .... During our road trip through the Yucatan peninsula, we chose this B&B because of it's convenient location along the Puuc route that takes you from Uxmal to the Loltún caves passing the wonderful sites of Kabah and Labna. We had booked for one night but when we got there we wished we could have stayed longer. The food was great...

We were so happy to stumble on this charming place after a long day on the Ruta Puuc. It's a charming location with patio seating, and the meal was made with a fresh, high quality ingredients. I would definitely go back!

This was one of our favorite places we stayed during our two week journey around Mexico and Guatemala. Though it is about a 10 minute drive from Uxmal, my husband and I were very happy that we stayed at this small B&B rather than the bigger (and more corporate-seeming) hotels right next to the ruins. This also allowed us easy...

We thoroughly enjoyed our two days at the Pickled Onion. Favorite spot was the patio at the top of the property with two hammocks. Food was amazing. We got a box lunch our last day and it was great. Definitely a great spot to enjoy Uxmal and the surrounding area!
