7 of us (plus 3 dogs!) stayed for a week at this fabulous place..very comfortable and well equipped gite set in expansive grounds. 2 of our party were in the impressive main house. Rob and Liz were outstanding hosts..they were quietly attentive & nothing was too much trouble for them at all. Geordie, the resident golden retriever, enjoyed some canine...

Our visit to La Joie de Vivre was to celebrate a special birthday, and it really lived up to our expectations. We arrived in the evening on the Friday, to a lovely dinner laid out in the gite by Liz & Rob, with the wood burner already lit! Saturday morning, we visited a local café (in a teapot!!..brilliant!) Saturday we...

We had an amazing 2 weeks with all the family staying. Rob and Liz are outstanding hosts and their generosity and kindness made this special family get together even better. The self catering Accomadation is very adaptable and the grounds offer a great space for the children both young and old to enjoy.

I would like to thank Rob and Liz for one of our most memorable Xmas breaks to date. The lovely quaint village of Bonnefont was the setting for a brilliant nativity in the village church on Christmas Eve with the cast made up of Local people, kids and live animals, all finished off with a drink with very accommodating locals....

We are biased regulars at La Joie de Vivre and a little hesitant about spreading the word in case we are squeezed out! Never mind, just book it and enjoy a tranquil time or use this as a base for exploration by bike, car, walking. Don't forget to relax around the pool, seek out Boule or Croquet or wander into...

This is an amazing place to stay - you only have to look at the photos on the website to see how beautiful the main house, gite and grounds are. We spent a very relaxing week in the summer, chilling by the pool, exploring the local area and being superbly looked after by the owners Liz and Rob. The combination...

I have stayed at la Joie de Vivre on a number of occasions over the past 5 years at varying time of the year and they have made a number of improvements over that time - the barn, the boules court and the swimming pool to name a few. Of course the weather changes but the hospitality, comfort and tranquility...

I have stayed here on two occasions and can not find one negative thing to say. On both occasions Rob & Liz have been amazing hosts and were on hand to advise of places to visit. The attention to detail in the barn is very impressive! Decorated and furnished to a very high standard. This makes the perfect base to...

I was made so welcome the first time I went to Liz and Rob Norton that i went back for a second time. The accomodation is classically French and has an ambience that just forces you into a relaxed and open mindset. The grounds are tended to carefully and are exceptionally welcoming, the swimming pool is a great size and...

“the barn is beautiful; big and is perfect for small groups of people, combining communal areas and privacy too.”
