We had a meal out last night and it was very good a busy night as they had a belated valentines meals booked as well as the restaurant and bar meals. We had a 2 course bar meal very good food, tasty and well presented with a good time span, by the staff who were on the ball. It's worth...

We visited Briars Hall for dinner on Valentines night and ordered from the normal menu in the bar area rather than the set menu in the restaurant. We chose an 8oz rump steak, served with thick cut chips, Portobellow mushroom and seasonal vegetables and from the daily specials a chicken breast served on creamed mashed potatoes with a rich forestiere...

Stayed here with my boyfriend as a present for his birthday. Food was nice and home-ly and reasonably priced and the breakfast was really nice. The room was basic but clean. However we stayed in room 116 and it was right above a function room that was hosting a large dinner/charity night/work night which has a live band that went on...

Briars Hall have it right. If you want to get the family feeling with fantastically friendly staff and get looked after like royalty then look no further. We booked our wedding here and Karen the wedding organiser is first class. Steve the MC cannot do enough to help and all the staff just help with anything and everything. Our friends...

We booked our wedding at Briars Hall because it appeared to offer good value for money. What we didn't expect was the level of service and quality. Nothing was too much trouble for the wedding co-ordinator (Karen) leading up to the Wedding or for the staff on the day. Everyone went out of their way to make us feel special...

Another visit, we had a lovely meal for a party of 18. Service is good, food is plentiful and we all had the table d'ote which at £19.9 was a bargain. No complainers over food or service. Hotel is set in lovely grounds and I would recommend the food. Only gripe is the cost of drinks which is expected in...

We regularly visit Briars Hall for lunch. I have to have G/F food which Is not a problem to the chef. They do a lunch special, two courses for £8.99 and three fro £9.99 There are three options in each section and they usually include a soup as well as two more adventurous alternatives. There is always a roast of...

Briars Hall looks very nice from the outside. Inside very tired and old. Needs some TLC We were greeted by a more mature dark haired waitress with glasses. So nice and pleasant it came across disingenuous. That type ! We looked for a table that wasn't reserved as instructed. We were then greeted by a lovely more pleasant genuine waitress...

This was the third wedding we have attended at this venue. Previously two were highly enjoyable, but this was excellent. The wedding itself the previous afternoon had gone like clockwork, with the bride being a few minutes fashionably late, after the ceremony there was drinks and canapes, unlike some other weddings we have attend elsewhere there were copious amounts of...
