Beautiful surroundings. A well maintained elegant b&b with friendly hosts and a comfy bed in a pretty, well located room with a view to lift your spirits. With a good quality breakfast , it all adds up to make a perfect memorable break . Walkers and strollers are well catered for. Many good restaurants within a short drive, some just...

We were greeted with a very warm welcome by Andrew. Brownber hall is set in lovely scenery, rolling hills and with a nature reserve nearby. Decor is very tasteful and classy throughout, traditional yet contemporary. We were very impressed with the breakfast, the local sausages were very tasty indeed. The shower in my room was nice and powerful. I look...

We went there on the last night of a walking break to be greeted by the charming owners offering complimentary teas and cake, beer or wine on the terrace! What a lovely welcome also for our dogs who were given towels and blankets on arrival! The rooms are lovely and the views spectacular! They don't do evening meals and we...

Such peace and tranquility and such a warm welcome. Visit and you will never forget this gem in the quiet part of Cumbria. The rooms are comfortable, the beds great and the ensuite shower rooms are all obviously recently updated. There is a very comfortable lounge without a TV where you can read or even have a glass of wine...

We didn't see much of Brownber Hall, arriving at 9:30 and leaving straight after breakfast but were impressed from the initial welcoming email recommending places to eat, one of which we visited before our arrival. The location is very peaceful, we slept well and enjoyed a good breakfast.

Stayed here for a walking weekend with my wife recently to celebrate our anniversary. We found the rooms, breakfasts, service and atmosphere to be just great. The location is perfect for walking in the unspoilt Lune and Eden valleys and the owners very kindly printed off the details of a 16 mile walk on the fells with all the way...

Stopped here on C2C walk (breaking up the Orton to Kirkby Stephen leg). A lovely relaxing country house feel. Transport to two lovely pubs in Ravonstonedale for evening meals and the chance to relax with a drink back at the House afterwards. Hosts were welcoming, friendly and helpful with information etc. Worth a C2C stop off after the climbs in...
