We stayed for 3 nights on a Groupon offer in November. We had one of the rooms not attached to the main building. It was clean and nicely heated with a massive bath, but asked to only half fill it as the hot water tank was not large enough to fill the bath. There was a nice 2 seater sofa... More

We stayed here one night and booked at short notice What a gem of a place and an excellent deal too. Top quality 4* hotel, staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We arrived late and they had food waiting for us even though we arrived after the last meal orders were taken. Food was wonderful and... More

A lovely pub-with-rooms tucked away north of Dorchester. The food is interesting and excellent and the rooms comfortable and stylish at sensible prices. The staff were friendly and efficient and we will certainly re-visit.

Due to unforeseen circumstances we turned up almost an hour late! This was no problem as our table was waiting for us. We had a great meal and when we had finished it was hardly worth washing the plates!

Stayed for one night in a super room with well thought out, and rather dramatic, decor - very comfortable and warm. The surprise, in this out of the way establishment, was the quality of the food. An interesting menu with local produce, and cooked to the quality of a top hotel or restaurant. Dinner was wonderful, and breakfast excellent with... More

Stayed here at the start of a walking trip for one night. Our room was excellent, really cosy and comfortable. Dinner was very good, local pigeon skewers with beetroot then venison burger which was sublime. Breakfast was good, all local which is always nice and a good way to fuel up before our 25k walk. We came back at the... More

Our rooms were above the bar area and very comfortable with a view of the road outside and lots of trees. We arrived late and had a bottle of Shiraz and a cheese board as a late snack, we had already eaten at the Frampton Arms just up the road at Morton. I left the car in the very big... More
