Just spent a lovely weekend at the Haus Wilms, from the moment we arrived and received a lovely welcome from Brigit to the morning we left, the staff could not do enough for us. The breakfasts very tasty and plenty of choice, we only ate once in the hotel for dinner, however the meal was fabulous. The hotel is very...

I have stayed at Haus Wilms on and off over the past 18 months. Birgit and her staff are always friendly and helpful and the restaurant serves good meals. The rooms are always clean. I have no trouble recommending this hotel if you are travelling in the Effeld/Wassenberg area.

However, the owners had a second room available at their own dwelling which was very welcome but the mattresses did have a slightly stale smell and we did feel slightly awkward staying there. However, we were very glad...

Going back 30 odd years later I was pleased to find that although the layout and décor had changed the standard of service I found back then was still in evidence, and if anything...

We had stayed at this hotel in 1980 and wanted to return to the area for old time sake. Needless to say, physically a lot had changed since our last visit. However, ther friendliness of the reception was still the same. From the moment we arrived, we felt that we were welcome and appreciated. Our room was spacious, well presented...

This family-run hotel deserves a special mention for its friendly service, its excellent cuisine, and its unpretentious but fine location near the Nature Park Meinweg and near the Effelder Lake. My wife and I enjoyed the free use of the hotel bicycles, and made a good tour in the woods and pastures in the Limburg border region between Germany and...
