A wonderful warm B and B. Angie the owner was absolutely a doll. We were offered tea and cakes when we arrived, she brought to our room. She made us feel very welcome and relaxed. We stayed 2 nights. Private bathrooms with rooms. She made an excellent full English breakfast. And the best homemade marmalade. Good wifi. A very historic...

We only spent one night here & wish we'd stayed longer! It's right on a curve of the river Trent - I'm sure it would be even better to visit in summer. Angie & Jon are fabulous hosts - they are very attentive without being gushing!! Eggs for breakfast are collected straight from their own hens! The rooms are clean...

I stayed at Holden House for four nights and had a pleasant stay. Room one is relatively small, but cozy. It's always warm and has a comfy bed. The road outside is busy during the day, but very quiet at night. The cooked breakfast is excellent and I'd highly recommend the marmalade. Angie, the host, is very friendly and an...

This is a lovely little place with beautiful views across the river. Angie gave us a very warm welcome on arrival and was happy to change our room from a twin to a double straight away (my husband was initially going to make this trip on his own). Our room was immaculate and very comfortable and the breakfast was the...

This is a must stay B&B - first class property, first class location, first class room, first class service and the best breakfast I have had in a very long time. Thank you Angie and your team for your tremendous hospitality and a thoroughly enjoyable stay, albeit a short one. I look forward to seeing you again in the not...

Our room had a view of the river and was great for watching the morning sunrise. The room was very nice and clean and cosy. Angie who owns the B&B is a wonderful host who...

A lovely period property right on the bank of the canal. Angie was a charming host, and the offer of bringing a hot drink to the room on arrival was a nice touch. The room was comfortable, well appointed and spotless, again with some personal touches that give the place an individuality. A good nights sleep, and a superb, high...
