A bit quirky with its bungalow style layout around a central courtyard/car park but comfortable and clean. Well located for me and easy access to parking made it practical - the car just yards away. The only downside was a musty smell in the bathroom which I think was the drains - I put the plug in the bath and...

I literally feel like I am on a set for the bill. This is not like the normal premier inn hotels. This is like little old peoples shacks or a motel on a horror film. The bathrooms have seen better days, see picture ! The man on the deal was lovely, very helpful and friendly. The pub facing the hotel...

Not a bad location but the rooms have seen better days. Most Premier Inns are very new and modern, this one showing signs of age. Room was reasonably quite, bed not the most comfortable. Will avoid it if I can next time. Restaurant attached is very good with good food and service.

Stayed here as a stopover for a base near Ashbourne. Rooms are large, very clean, unusual set up in that looks like or is a converted barn, good pub next door, fantastic service from reception, nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed here whilst visiting our son at Derby Uni, the room was as expected with a comfortable bed. Eat onsite at the Mundy Arms, the quality and choice of food, service and value for money is excellent, so were the wines and beer.

This hotel was in a lovely position, semi rural but close to the town and centre and about 16 miles from the motorway. The hotel was a converted barn, surrounding by farm land. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the pub, which was next door, served a very nice variety of dishes. The road was fairly busy so...

Wonderful situation, rooms are all low level with parking outside most rooms. Large car park available for the couple of rooms that didn't have their own designated spot. Two disabled rooms with their own car parking spaces. Ideally situated for trips in to the Peak District. All of the young Premier staff were very professional and helpful, even down to...

My wife & I had several reasons for wishing to take a short break in the Derbyshire area - family in Derby, my wife attending a Jonathan Moseley flower arranging one day course in Ashover near Chesterfield and visiting various parts of the Peak District (Bakewell, Matlock Bath & Chatsworth). This hotel provided a super base with an excellent restaurant,...
