We stayed for a night travelling back from the south to Caen. Friendly staff, trying very hard on their English. Good food. Made a special effort for my wife who is vegetarian, after ordering the vegetable soup they pointed out it had some pork in it and adapted another dish to ensure it was completely meat free. Quirky schoolhouse theme...

Standing in the heart of this lovely riverside village the hotel offers good value basic accommodation. We enjoyed an excellent evening meal which in itself has given us a good reason to return. There is free on-site car parking.

We stayed here en route to the coast and had a pleasant stay. The members of staff were very pleasant and welcoming. The room was basic but comfortable - not well soundproofed but it was quiet. With hindsight we should have booked a room with air-con as it was very hot during our stay. Our only criticism was the size...

Very friendly staff, clean , modern room, and good value food. Especially the langoustine ravioli with seafood sauce to die for, and the fabulous , rare local Jasnieres, chenin wine ....DEFINITELY Worth a detour , just off the A28, le Mans to Tours AutoRoute , just right for an overnight stop on way South!

My husband and I visited this hotel on route to Spain. The room was VERY basic, and poorly decorated. when we arrived (it was a Sunday) the host was keen to greet us but then disappeared and no one else was on site for the rest of the day. The toilet had a problem refilling itself and made a awful...

The hotel and restaurant staff were excellent and very helpful. The restaurant is in the former schoolroom and has desks, a blackboard, models of children and other amusing reminders of school, including the menu. Our dinner was mixed with a good starter and dessert, but the main course which we selected came as a sort of gristly, fatty slice of...

After booking in the manager told us how very proud they were of their recent promotion to 3 star status. He also mentioned a 'bread festival' taking place just outside the village and suggested we might like to visit it. With nothing planned we popped down the road to check it out and it turned out to be an excellent...

My husband and I stayed here for one night, en route from Spain to Cherbourg. It was a good location, being in an attractive small village on the River Loire, a short distance from the A28. It was very easy to find, and had its own carpark. Our room was pleasant (in a typically French way) and clean with a...

I stayed one night in this hotel while on a biking trip along Le Loir and had mixed feeling about the hotel. The hotel is in a former school building and is not very charming. Rooms are ok but nothing special. Most of the food we had for dinner was good except from some kind of chicken stew which tasted...
