This is not a huge resort. You can definitely walk around. If you're going to the one restaurant up on the hill and don't want to walk, they will gladly take you in a motorized resort cart, however it is walkable, just uphill. If you're not in good shape it could be a little exhausting and not worth getting out of breath over.
There are two beaches. One is very calm and the other is windy. The wind can be welcome on very hot days and I would recommend water shoes if you want to venture into the water as there are rocks and grass in places. The calmer side is also where you can take out paddle boards, etc., and simply hang out in the water, but don't expect any waves or body surfing. The sand is nice for sunbathing. but this part of the island is not where you will find green/blue crystal clear water. If that's what you are looking for, this is not the place. It is very secluded and not at all touristy. Many of the guests are time share owners that return year after year for vacation from other countries.
Hope this helps somewhat if you are still on the fence.
