My overall experience in the cala grande hotel was good. To get anything from this review I must express my motivations for choosing cabo de gata as my destination. I love recreational fishing, body surfing, castle and ghost town visiting and rock collecting. Hotels are a place where I can sleep soundly, eat and recharge my motors in order to...

The hotel is located in the center of las Negras village, a small village close to major attractions (Mirador de Amatista, San Jose village and beaches), has an ok spa and good rooms (filled with dozens of mosquitoes though). The bathrooms are not well designed as you have a window that connects to the room, next to the bed...and a...

It looks perfect at first look but the reception staff are not very helpful and friendly. The spa is good and lovely, the staff working there are really kind and nice. We took a road trip from Valencia there and we asked a room with a sea-view prior to our arrival but when we got there they said sorry! . When...

The hotel has spacious rooms, a really fantastic breakfast and a wonderfull staff. It's a design hotel and very white while sometimes I thought another colour (for example by the swimming pool) would be nice. Probably forbidden by the architect. It's easy to acces with your car.

Spent 3 nights here and was impressed with the tranquil location - just a 3 minute walk from the town but sufficiently set back to be quiet and relaxed. Car parking was free, as was wifi - the hotel is well located for visiting Cabo de Gata and some of the idyllic beaches. Playa de los muertos is well worth...

At first glance this hotel is pretty nice, but it stops there, everything kind of spirals downwards from here, once we enter to check in the staff act like they're being held at gunpoint and have no desire to help whatsoever, we had so much luggage and arrived late so we're very tired from driving all day but no one...

Stayed here for 1 night in a Jacuzzi Villa.. This was a special treat as it was my 30th Birthday but we can't help but feel disappointed!! When we booked online we viewed an extensive & English version of a a la carte menu.. Looked great!! Not the case.. It was a set menu with only 3 dishes per course...

My wife and I stayed at the Grand Hotel for five nights in early May this year. We found the hotel very average, the rooms are clean but smallish in size and there are nice views from most balconies but with no tea facilities...when we enquired about a iron board and iron...we were told there were none in the hotel...

Las Negras is probably one of the best villages to explore the coast - small, remote and preserved yet with restaurants and a supermarket. The area is simply beautiful and offers endless possibilities for exploring. Hotel Cala Grande itself is close to perfect: very calm, modern, extremely comfortable, spotless clean... We had a room on the second floor with a...
