Arriving at this place is fantastic. The place looks like the perfect getaway location. A super relaxed vibe makes you feel at home very quickly. There are two buildings, one containing a bunch of individual rooms, and the main one with the lounge, restaurant and other rooms. We stayed in the main building top floor, the room looked really cute in the photos, and well it was. It was small and very tight to maneuver around. But the bed was comfy, TV worked in multi languages, and the air con was spot on. The bathroom was a bit...bad? Not the cleanest I have ever been in (which may put some off with Covid, but there was certainly a hair or two in the shower, and a few dead flies squashed on the wall). The shower was a very basic box, the type which you can stand in and not do anything else. So be prepared for basic. However this is listed as a 2* and it is an old building, dont expect jacuzi baths and 2 person showers. The restaurant room is very nice and staff are really friendly. Food was as expected for a place like this. During our stay there was only one other couple there, so they are not prepared with a full restaurant menu (yeah thanks covid..) But you may find somewhere local to eat, but it is tricky to find somewhere near for food at night. The bar is well stocked and not too pricy. The balcony and outside area is amazing with great views. (several different areas you can sit. One balcony attached to the restaurant, another out the front, and another just off the car park). Each offer different views and not to be missed. There is a good sized pool with jacuzzi (was too cold for us at this time of year!!) One day when leaving to go on a hike, there was an intruder. A local Ibex (Cabra Montes / Wild Mountain Goat) decided to wander across the grounds munching on acorns or whatever it could on the ground. Fantastic to see. If you dont want breakfast at the hotel, then a short trip into town you will certainly find somewhere open. Location wise it is good. There is no fridge in the room This is a 2* hotel. But could very easily be a 3*. And a little investment it would smash expectations and be an iconic hotel in the area.

What a hotel! The views are amazing, the restaurant and food were lovely, the room was comfortable with different views of the valley from its 4 windows. The host was very welcoming. Everything about it was great. Would definitely stay again!

From the moment we arrived at Hotel Rural La Calerilla we had a wonderful experience. A very nice and pretty lady, Monica, greeted us with a smile and soon organised our room. It was a great start to my husband's birthday! Our room was beautiful. It was large, very clean and well equipped. The same was true for the shower-room and great shower! The air-conditioning was quiet and effective. The pool area is perfect - there's a large pool and lots of sunbeds with a choice of sun or shade, as well as six double beds under pergolas. The grounds are beautifully kept with lots of lovely decorative features and the dining area very classy. The location is lovely - right off the main road to/from Cazorla, yet quiet. We didn't use the restaurant but it looked really nice and with great views. I'd highly recommend this hotel and will be telling friends & family to come and stay here.

We have been to Cazorla national park many times but our experience at la Calerilla has by far made this time the best. After several years of eating at their great restaurant we decided to stay in the hotel and were extremely pleased with our stay. The location is key as it is the last establishment before traveling into the national park, it reduces the journey time from Cazorla town to the sights and walks in the park by around 20mins. It has a unique location on the edge of a cliff with breathtaking views of surrounding towns, the complex is well kept and attention to details is very apparent. The owners Monica and Jose Juan as well as the staff are extremely friendly people that made us feel very welcome and at home. The rooms are well equiped, clean and cozy, the bed was extremely comfortable, together with the silence and fresh air it is definately very easy to get a good nights sleep, we had a ground floor room overlooking the pool and surrounding national park with our own private balcony which was great. Over all well worth the reasonable price considering its location and very welcoming feel....An amazing place with great staff who work very hard to make you feel at home...we will definately be revisitng the place. The only downside we could say was it was too cold to enjoy the stream fed pool 😂

We stayed here for 2 days, the Casa Rural is located in the edge of the Cazorla Park, so is surrounded by natural beauty. Also, the views from the restaurant were the best! Unfortunately, we booked a Double Room but we were given a Twin Room. The place was half empty... I don't understand why they said they were fully book and no Double Room was available.
