We were in loft 202, it is spectacular with incredible views, very well equipped, they are very attentive to what you need, if you need anything they will send it to you. You just have to dedicate yourself to enjoying the place.
I advise you to book loft 202, it will leave you speechless.

Beautiful hotel on the beachfront, stayed 2 nights rooms were spotlessly clean. The reception staff were amazing and accommodating to our needs. Just below the hotel is the Arena Cafe where we had tostadas and coffee for breakfast and drinks with our friends later, there is also restaurant, Picolo Mare who serve fresh traditional Mediterranean food, Indian food, pizzas and pasta , there is a shop within walking distance should you need anything else. Everything you need is here! Highly recommend

Wow! Family owned and what a difference that makes. The fact that we were recommended by another restaurant owner says everything. We travelled down the coast 25 mins but so worth it..the tuna tartare and the chateau briande were phenomenal. Superb customer service. No faults at all, in fact a return visit is imminent. Thank you for a lovely evening and showcasing a beautiful restaurant.

We have now been countless times and this restaurant has really developed. Excellent food, excellent and friendly service and a location to die for... The variety is also something unique. Imaginative, creative, novel, always scrumptious....

Being in the Secret of the Water is like having your own apartment facing the sea. You feel at home and it is a delight to enjoy a few days of rest there. Everything very clean. The kitchenette has everything you need to cook. Friendly and attentive staff at all times. I have nothing but good words. The area is very quiet, with a supermarket and pharmacy nearby.

Staff were extremely helpful and lovely and the location is splendid, but the room was very basic and dismal.
However, it was clean .
The cafe on the beach is perfect for breakfast.
The lounge restaurant was okay, nothing more although I note it gets very good reviews.

Stayed in Loft 202, a fantastic luxurious apartment overlooking the Mar Menor with a huge wrap around terrace. Lovely receptionist (Ana) was on hand along with a wonderful onsite restaurant, nearby cafe/bar and supermarket. Everything about our stay was wonderful, highly recommended.

The hotel is perfect placed direct on the beach, with a lounge, bar/cafe and restaurant, the studios is small and basic but is clean and fresh. We really liked it until the last day when we were checking out, the night before we were not sleeping there and guess if we were surprised when we entered our room very early in the morning to collect our last things before checking out. The room was already prepared for other guests, it was totally cleaned out, our last belongs were gone. When we confronted the reception they told us that our room door had been vide open the previous day, (we locked) and that they tried to phone us all day,(no missed phone calls) and when we asked were our belongings were they said that the room was empty. So

If you are looking for a beach holiday without the hassle of continually brushing off the sand this is the place for you. On the other hand if you must have the sand between your toes it's only a five metre walk from El Secreto del Agua to get on the beach.
We stayed in a large, spotlessly clean and superbly equipped one bedroom 'Loft' with it's own enormous, well furnished, decked terrace area overlooking the beach. Who needs sand ? The complex has two of these 'Lofts' and a number of smaller 'Studios'. In addition to a patio garden area for the use of residents the complex also houses a Sports/Chill Out bar, a seafront Bar/Café and an Italian themed restaurant. Everything you need on the doorstep, which is just as well because the only other bar/eateries within walking distance are two Chiringuitos, which, whilst we were there in early October, both closed at dusk.
The whole thing was totally spoiled for us on the Wednesday and Saturday evening when completely illogically every TV screen in the complex was showing the same football match. It was on in the reception area, the Sports/Chill Out bar, the Piccolo Mare restaurant and the Arena café bar both inside and outside on the terrace. The volume was excruciatingly high and normal conversation was impossible (see my separate review for Piccolo Mare). For this reason alone we would never return to El Secreto del Agua, at least not during the now extended football season ..... a great avoidable shame.

Studio apartments are lovely but for luxury go for a loft apartment. Everything you could wish for with fabulous views and right on the beach. Delightful staff and the Arena cafe next door provides great snacks and drinks. Mar de Cristal is beautiful and a few minutes along the coast from La Manga. A Supermarket a few minutes away means you can self cater with microwave, coffee machine, fridge etc and lovely toiletries also provided. Cannot recommend highly enough.
