The hotel is situated 30km from Jaca, a small road into the mountains. Upon arrival you see a nice building and the inside is rather luxury. The person behind the desk claims to be the manager and is rather rude. My dogs accompanied and were allowed as mentioned on bookings. The Wi-Fi is non-existing. The hotel is deserted with empty...

Stayed here with my fiancé and her parents for one night whilst visiting Santa Cruz and the surrounding area (we'd driven over from France). The Hospederia must have once been a very grand place, probably fairly recently. The building, attached to the new Monastery, is actually quite stunning (in a slightly monolithic sort of way) and it's obvious good money...

1. Spacious rooms with all amenities needed. Really good. 2. Nice location. 3. Bad dinner, small dishes, most of them are not tasty. Try to eat somewhere else before getting there or bring your own food. 4. Good value for money for the room, bad value for money for the restaurant.

Modern, clean, comfortable hotel on top of a mountain; quiet nights and a very good and plentiful breakfast. Fairly short hikes from the hotel will get you extraordinary views of the Pyrenees. The interpretation centre/museum attached to the hotel is well wort the visit.

We don't regret staying here as we wanted to visit both the old and new monasteries but they could have done SO much more with it. The rooms are spacious and have all you require but the hotel itself lacks any character or atmosphere. Everything is angular, the restaurant is enormous and there were only two tables occupied the night...

Nothing beats the location on top of the mountain in the monastery of San Juan de la Peña. The woods and playgrounds are great for children. The rooms are spacious and modern, maybe a bit too modern for such a historic site. The restaurant isn’t very cosy either, it makes people whisper. A decent choice, but just for one night.

This is the hotel that could be great. Amazing transformation of an old monastery into a chic hotel while still nicely preserving history. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable with good amenities. The only thing wrong with this place is the restaurant (where you pretty much have to go given the location). The food is absolutely terrible; borderline inedible....
