I have booked to stay in Patuno after another diving trip in Komodos. I knew its remote and read the reviews that there is no beach and its mainly dedicated to diving etc etc. It was budget so i had expectation of lower standards but there are issues with the resort that really put me off irrespective of price: 1.... My friends and I were staying in 2 rooms in a permanent building in the back. There was a construction (of pool) going on the moment we stayed so bit dusty. One of booked rooms had the AC broken and we had to wait quite a long time until being moved to another room and compensation (refund partly of room... More

Wakatobi is thought to be expensive, but this resort proves it is not. Agreed, this is not for travellers who expect a high level of luxury, but if you are used to regional tourism in South East Asia, this resort meets these expectations. It is a place for rest and diving, but no more than that. The staff were extremely... More

We stayed here when we arrived to Wakatobi. The airport pickup was mishandled despite our confirmed reservation. But Indonesians are friendly so we took a taxi. We had a deluxe cabin. Beach view is obstructed by palms and trees. Air conditioner is placed over the door so it doesn't really cool the room. This is not a problem, you can... More

Originally we were considering staying one week but after seeing the premises we were so happy that we stayed only one night and continued further to Hoga island which we found to be a hidden paradise. Patuno resort is only suitable for divers and for people who would like to take a rest before flying back home from Wakatobi. There... More

Patuno reminds me so much of Maldives, Quite and romantic. Great place if you are looking to stay away from busy city, the people are friendly and helpful, the food was great and valued for money. You may need to ask to rent motorcycle if you want to explore the area.

This resort is big, lots of cottages and one new building at the back with 40 rooms. The distance between the front office, restaurant and the rooms at the back is far therefore it takes a while if you need help. Phone in the room was not working. Food is ok. Far from the main road, nice beach to walk... More

Patuno Resort is a quiet place and as the accommodation is spread over a large area is therefore quite private. It is situated on pristine, sparkling waters of the sea and provides most things you might need. The staff were friendly and helpful, not all spoke English but all were eager to try and help out when required. The resort... More
