My introduction to the Aboseli Serena Safari Lodge was an encounter with a cheeky vervet monkey, snatching a packet of sugar I was about to sweeten my tea with from my hand. I was doing my best to obey the 'DO NOT FEED THE MONKEYS' sign, but hey, these critters really were pushy. An ensemble of Masai, aimed slingshots to...

We stayed at Amboseli Serena lodge for two nights at the end of our safari tour. It is a lodge which accommodates large numbers of guests and manages this very well. The lodge is perhaps not as new and modern as some, for example our room was rather small as was the ensuite and could be described as functional rather...

We went during the dry season and the roads leading to the lodge are very dusty and rough. The lodge is nicely appointed, the rooms are small but colorful and the pool is a nice break from the heat. Friendly staff and good restaurant. Beware of the monkeys, as they will eat anything not already in your mouth. Try to...

We stayed in this lodge for two nights. Were warmly welcomed with a drink and brought to our room (furthest away from the main area; 5 min walk) by the staff. Excellent rooms (with a balcony), good shower and nice beds. The lodge area is green, nice pool and excellent tea and dining area. The food is up to standards...

We stayed there on our safari fot two nights. The rooms were outstanding, and the food was first class. Plenty of animals wete seen on our safaris. A great place to stay. All the staff were friendly and always on hand, saving you from getting mugged by the many monkeys all around the lodge.

I have been tossing up which Serena was better - Amboseli or Kilaguni. Couldn't decide as both were equally excellent. Very similar, service great, room excellent, great outlook from restaurant and lounge. As with all the Serenas free wifi. Souvenir shop was one of the better ones. In all an enjoyable stay. Amboseli is an interesting park. When we first...

We stayed at the Amboseli Serena Lodge for just one night but it was by far the best lodge we stayed at in our 4 night safari. The room and en suite bathroom was of an adequate size with storage/wardrobe space but with high standard decor and cleanliness. There was a kettle and hair dryer in the room but no...

An unbelieveable place in the middle of nowhere. The location is excellent and the wildlife abundant. The views from the terraces and the restaurant are really good and the rooms are very comfortable.

This lodge deserves 3.5 rating as it has good wi-fi, good food, good character and good rooms with small open balconies. The rooms don't have a safe nor a view over the surrounding plains. However, the reception, dining and bar staff are courteous, well trained and speak good English.
