We booked for two nights and stayed four! Very, very good homemade food, knowledgeable and frendly owners. So Genereous of their time, just like staying with talented and tasteful friends! Very comfy stay, unforgettable horse ride with Aurelio, a gaucho and ex water ski champion... Amazing views of thé Andes. Definately worth the side trip.

I am German and as such always ready to find a hair in every soup. The short story: here I did not find any. The equivalent to an american "great" would be a german "nice", but here even I must say "great". Claudia, Aurelio and their partners have created a place in - excuse me - the middle of nowhere....

What a surprise - we found this place just "by accident" and it's far the best option in the whole area. Barreal is not really on everyones schedule, but thanks to this hotel it is definitly worth the detour, if you are one your way south to Mendoza (... via Uspallata, recommendable road). This small boutique style hotel has just...

“We believe the building we stayed in, rooms #7 & #8, has the best view of the Andes. All rooms look at the same Cordillera, but some other porches may have a slightly obstructed view due to the large trees on the property. I believe the final building, rooms #9 & #10 have a similar view to our room.”
