We stayed there, a family of four for about a week in 2016 summers and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The club house is gorgeous and the food was delicious. They really have a chef who has culinary skills. The plantation walks were fun, though we could have done with more walking and mountain biking. The gardens, the trees and above...

We stayed at Old Kent Estate in the beginning of March. The Estate is very beautiful, the club house, the garden, the views and the coffee plantation itself. The bird life is particularly exceptional. With the help of binoculars and the wonderful book "Feathered Jewels of Coorg" provided by OKE I was able to spot and identify, without even moving...

The resort is beautiful and takes you back in the British colonial era with its 150 year old clubhouse, English gardens and villas. The resort itself is situated amidst 200 acres of coffee plantation and it's wonderful to listen to so many chirping birds which you won't be able find in busy city lives. We stayed in an English villa....

After spending much time traveling around for work, I had the opportunity to visit Old Kent Estate with my family on a much-needed off-time! Just a few hours drive from Airport in Bangalore (we easily arranged this by calling up the hotel). I really wanted to escape the present-day city/work life and was hoping to go into a relaxed ‘escape...

OKE is perfect getaway place from the urban jungle- tucked neatly amidst a massive and serene lush green coffee estate. It is unlike any commercial resort which one can find. Right at the entrance is a club house with a lot of history, neatly done up interiors, a home theatre room with plush leather seating and a neat collection of...

Old Kent truly lives upto it's caption "Feel the Sound of Silence". It has nice heritage cum British/Colonial feel. We stayed at this property for 3 nights this Feb and it has been one of my best experiences. It is located bit away from Madikeri, where most of the tourist attractions are located. But it's totally worth it. You start...

We had a fantastic stay at Old Kent in December 2016. It exceeded our expectations at many levels. Arriving from the airport: Convenient safe and flexible. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Old Kent Estates, originally developed in the mid 1800s, is one of the earliest established coffee plantations in Southern India. William Roland Wright, a Colonel in the British Army led to the transformation of this 200-acre estate from a jungle in which big game abound to a cultivated plantation and a delightful home to his family. First constructed in 1864, the stately bungalow has been fully restored to its former charm & glory and has vignettes of the by gone colonial era and houses several rooms. As a tribute to the Wright Family, each room is fondly named after one of the family members who once inhabited within. The property has been designed keeping in mind its rich history and tradition, ensuring the conservation and preservation of the natural surroundings, within an exclusive boutique setting. Each English cottage with its own private garden provides the utmost privacy, Get pampered with the Old Kent hospitality and experience the tranquil life of a typical estate owner in British India.
