I recently had the pleasure of staying in this inn for two nights. The rooms I am told have been recently renovated and they are beautiful. Each room is slightly different in style and I have no reason to believe that any are inferior to others. I had an extremely comfortable bed and large bathroom and the room had tasteful...

Our room was newly decorated, spacious and was very inviting. The bed very comfortable. There was a great little tea/coffee making area with coffee pods and a little fresh milk flask jug which was a nice touch. The en-suite was really lovely with a bath and shower and underfloor heating, all very modern. The breakfasts were very nice too, but...

The Fleece in proved to be a fantastic find. Just off the M6 we stayed overnight on our way to the Lakes. Beautifully renovated with no expense spared. The rooms are plush with lovely furnishings and super comfy bed. A very good nights sleep. The bathroom had a big bath and walk in shower and thick white towels. The toiletries...

High spec, warm and extremely comfortable rooms in charming pub. Busy with locals and very friendly staff. Love that they have a community shop. Dinner was good however breakfast was outstanding. Such a good sleep & no road noise. Would highly recommend this place & will revisit when travelling upcountry.

And why does it always rain?? At least there's always a lovely warm welcome and fire to keep out the chill. Once again went for their 2 courses for £10 lunchtime menu. A choice or 3 starters, 4 mains (actually, it's because the choice of mains hasn't changed since our previous visit quite a while ago that it's not 5*)...

We sat down for a delicious British style meal. We come from the states came to visit my son and family they said agree this is one of the best meals we've had. The prices were very reasonable. Don't miss it.

Our walking group dropped in for drinks. Service was excellent, even though the pub was very busy and we ended up sitting outside, and the coffee I had was lovely. The pub has been extensively improved since my last visit, I hope to go back again soon.

Great Sunday menu - I was really pleased to find locally produced porchetta and it was delicious. Good service, good wine, comfortable and friendly. Would be nice to see a wider selection of craft beers though.
