We stayed here for two nights while visiting family in the area. We found the rooms to be very well presented, clean, tidy and newly decorated. The room was very comfortable and the staff could not have been more welcoming. Breakfast was beautifully cooked, the granola and the scrambled eggs were memorable! The chef is passionate about his local ingredients...

We often eat lovely meals at the Redwell and it is only busy at the weekend. We went with our grandchildren on Friday evening, early about 6.30 for a meal. The pub was empty apart from a few people drinking outside. Some tables had reserved on ,but we were surprised to be told by the barmaid we could not have...

We used this fine establishment as night stop on a run up to Dornoch to drive the North Coast 500. The rooms were well presented trendy clay decor and new bathrooms. Just 5 mins away from M6 and with views over to the Dales. Food was local ( try the smokers produce) and well prepared and presented. We would visit...

We had been here once before, perhaps 3 years ago and it was very good. We persuaded family to give it a go. Arrived at 6-40pm for a 7pm booking but only started eating at 7-50pm. Then a thirty five minute gap between starters and main course. Staff were obviously stretched and not enough of them. Food was good but...

Beautiful place with gorgeous food and friendly staff. We were made to feel welcome by Julie and Suzanne. Both work so hard to make sure they can help with your stay. We were staying due to a family party in Arkholme and they booked us a taxi and we would have struggled hadn't Suzanne helped us out. They cant do...

We visited here tonight for my boyfriends fathers late birthday and the service was appalling. We were 10 minutes late to our table due to traffic and as we entered the restaurant they were so rude as we were greeted by a woman saying 'seeing as you are late your dinner will take a lot longer to cook' and it...

We stayed in the inn for 1 night. The food was really nice, home baked bread, home smoked meat. The breakfast had home made sausages and black pudding. The bed was really comfortable. All in all 10 out off 10!

I'd definitely recommend. We stayed for one night over the bank holiday and had a really enjoyable time. The food was delicious (I devoured 3 courses!), granted the service was a tad slow, however we enjoyed the nice leisurely breaks between courses, as far too many places are keen to rush you in and out! You could also tell the...

This was a lovely looking place that could be fantastic but unfortunately the speed of food service was very poor, we arrived and were shown to our lovely room, clean, smart and the shower was fantastic! We had booked to eat there as the weather was awful, we were seated in the bar and ordered our drinks. We browsed the...
