Daan, Ernesto and Marveli are the best. The house was perfect, the setting was ideal, and we had a great vacation. Comfortable lodging, beautiful secluded beach, and gracious people. Our twelve year old loved it as much as we did. Guests are supplied with a cell phone which gives an extra level of security. There were almost no bugs; the...

Congo Bongo was the perfect place to stay in my time in Costa Rica. Very close to the local town Manzanillo, incredible staff, a gorgeous walk to a secluded beach, and beautiful surroundings. The first night of our 7 day stay was a bit "new" to me due to the jungle noises but after that first night I slept like...

From the moment you set foot on one of the Congo Bongo paths, your experience in Costa Rica's Caribbean begins to come to life. From the jungle path leading to the almost private beach, the beautifully designed bungalos and the richness of eating, sleeping and living outdoors in such cared for comfort, Congo Bongo makes for a special and very...

Arriving from the bitter Toronto cold, the amazing weather and lush jungle was very welcomed. I was part of a large group of people looking to get some sun and experience Costa Rica together. The accommodations were great and we had a wonderful time. If you're looking for a secluded getaway that is outside of the resort type of place,...

I travelled to Congo Bongo with 16 other people for a week. Surprisingly, there were no issues, no hiccups, and everything went smoothly thanks to Daan and the staff at Congo Bongo. They always made sure that we had everything we needed and ensured that the houses were clean. Beyond the great service, the environment was paradise. Between being in...

Congo Bongo is one of those rare places that looks exactly like it does in it's pictures. It's beautiful, clean, really well managed and absolute paradise. I organized a group of 17 people and found that Dan and the CB team were incredibly accommodating and made the organizing piece quite easy for me. My favorite part was how authentic it...

The few days in Feb. 2014 we spent at Congo bongo were very interesting for us. Daan, the owner was friendly and relaxed, staying in the "long house" at that time of the year very nice as there were almost no bugs. Jogging along the beach early morning was wonderful and the long house resembels more a ship deck than...

I had the very best time here at Congo Bongo, so much kindness and consideration from lovely heart centered people who have so much integrity. This is my second visit and I love it. I am already planning a third. The perfect combination of natural peace and modern facilities. Wonderful walks to the beach with monkeys and humming birds and...

Lovely location. Charming, private and very comfortable accommodations. Excellent food. Really great folks Don and Marisol. Fabulous wildlife viewing including monkeys, hummers, great birding all around among beautiful canopy trees and ornamental plantings and just a few steps to gorgeous beach.
