I have visited the white horse on many occasions for the fabulous food they serve in their pub/restaurant but have never before stayed there. We booked to stay there on New Years Eve and what a treat it was. The rooms were immaculately clean and every last detail was thought of from complimentary cadburys hot chocolate and China mugs with...

We stopped for lunch on our loop around Rutland Water with our bikes. Food and beer was great and the staff were very supportive to customers in need as our bike lock wouldn't release our bikes therefore Helen the manager arranged for Tony a local to come with a hacksaw to help release our bikes and Helen even gave us...

Good rooms, good food, good service, good value. If you're visiting Rutland Water or Stamford this place is perfect. We were visiting Peterborough 20 minutes away and broke up the journeys by staying here. Recommend to book in advance.
