Honestly, I genuinely don't have enough superlatives in my vocabulary. I have never been able to pick out a single fault whenever I have been here. The food is simply sublime, the selection of wines is excellent - or so I'm told; don't understand the stuff myself - the selection of beers is excellent. The service is flawless, the decor...

We have been to this venue four times now and have never been disappointed . The surroundings are lovely; warm, tasteful and always a fire in the winter months. The food is always of a high standard, well presented and great quality, locally sourced produce. Staff are friendly and helpful. Who could ask for more. Not cheap, but not overpriced...

Christmas eve here with friends from London was just superb. The food is exactly what you would expect from a top West end restaurant, but the welcome and service goes way beyond London. It's welcoming and friendly, with a honed loving approach. Truly spoilt and not at London prices.....all this from a resident of Westminster. A dining experience not to...

I came here with my husband for my birthday as a treat and it was EXACTLY what we were after. A gorgeous rural inn with a beautiful facade, luxurious and cosy rooms (we had room 1 - which had a separate sort of entrance area with wardrobes. Highly recommend!). There was a fireplace - a great list of wines. And...

Had one of the best Sunday lunches, of roast rare beef and all the trimings. Followed by a very naughty sweet. Wow! Avery busy service but it did not spoil our meal. The menu choice was excellent. Worth every penny.

Enjoyed everything about the Brownlow Arms, the village location is picturesque & the property itself, a 17th century inn, handsome & inviting. Accommodation is in an adjacent courtyard & has been tastefully incorporated. Our room was compact, cosy, & prettily decorated in country style fabrics & pastel hues. The fit out has been done well & to a good standard....

I arrived mid-afternoon and the place was in darkness. I parked on the large car park and went to the main door, which was locked. However there was a large sign advising me to ring the bell. As soon as I did the door opened and I was given a lovely welcome, and my bag was carried to my room....

We are a young couple in our 30s. We booked the Brownlow Arms for our anniversary and the need for a night away as new parents. The Brownlow Arms delivered everything we expected. It's a quiet country hotel, situated in a lovely, quaint village. Although we didn't have dinner here, the bar/restaurant looked atmospheric and was very tastefully decorated. Our...

I booked this for my husband for a birthday break . What a treat. The room was beautiful, the most comfortable bed in the world ( probably). The food was fabulous , couldn't fault any of it. Highly recommended.

We booked a Sunday lunch to celebrate our friends' 50th Wedding Anniversary - the restaurant did not let us down. The Brownlow Arms, especially on a Sunday lunch-time is very popular, so don't expect to sit quietly contemplating life - join in and enjoy! Pre-lunch drinks in the busy bar were lovely; I had requested a window table - it...
