Lovely location and friendly staff . Great menu and the best steak and ale pie we have had in a very long time! Just wish I had taken a picture of it! At the risk of sounding strange, it was refreshing to actually find a real pie, made with shortcrust pastry and with so much filling !! ( rather than...

Stayed one night and really wish we hadn't. I know it's dog friendly but it was like student accommodation or backpacking. I know it was cheap but I couldn't cope with everyone's dog barking..my dogs naughty with character but I am a responsible dog owner. Door lock was pre historic, room shabby and in need of a spruce. Didn't chance breakfast...

We went here for a large family meal (8 people ranging from 12 - 70+ years old and a dog)! The booking was troublesome; I got no reply to the email which I sent and eventually I had to ring up to book our table, but it was well worth it in the end. The menu was extensive with a...

Certainly lives up to its boast of the best roast in the new forest. My wife had the turkey, I and another in our party had the lamb, and another had the pork. Everything was excellent, Obviously all prepared and cooked on the premises. Will definitely be going again.

The lady behind the bar kindly agreed we could have a table as long as it was vacated by 2pm. There was quite an extensive menu...

Stopped here for lunch when cycling. Great service, friendly staff, excellent food. We moved tables after ordering (too cold outside!) which didn't phase the staff at all. Bar staff was particularly helpful.

Found this on trip advisor when looking for a good pub for a roast dinner which would be suitable for an 84yr old, a 15month old, a dog and 5 adults! Called up an hour beforehand and booked a table no dramas which was ready when we arrived. Local beer on tap was an added bonus and staff were happy...

I was looking for somewhere in the New Forest for a good meal and I have to say that my first visit surpassed my expectations from the already great reviews. Every one of the 3 courses was superb. There are many good country pubs to eat in the New Forest but I think this has to top them all. A...

Visited today for some lunch with close friends and our baby (13 months) . Great attentive staff , and they served amazing food . Ordered S&ale pie and chicken (amazing) . Only down side ; very poor facilities for baby changing sadly! ...there was a high chair and crayons for baby play though. Changing facilities is a must! Having said...
