We chose this hotel to hold a joint birthday party for around 65 people. It is set in a pleasant enough location on the outskirts of the New Forest. The rooms are clean but a little tired, although the suites are quite roomy and good if you need family occupancy. Be prepared for creaky floors and noisy plumbing, it's that...

I rang and booked a room, upon arrival I was quoted a more expensive price, when I told the gentleman the price he refused to believe me, whilst walking to the room I retold the conversation I had earlier on the phone and it was only after he checked the system he confirmed that I was right. Room 10 is...

We have just come back from another lovely visit to Woodlands Lodge. We had a lovely time walking in the forest, we walked straight from the hotel garden. Although the weather wasn't the best, the hotel was warm and welcoming. We ate in the restaurant and the menu has been updated since our last visit and was exceptionally nice. Woodlands...

Do not book Christmas dinner here. It was the worst experience ever and was a total waste of money. As a family we have always cooked our own Christmas dinner but we decided to do something different. The service was slow and at times we had to get up and go find someone to order more drinks or ask when...

They have just got it right, the food is absolutely faultless and if you ask my partner I was actually speechless after eating a mouthful of the pud! It was exquisite. The room itself was lovely and spacious with lovely large windows overlooking the garden, traditional style with a nice modern bathroom. The staff were extremely welcoming and very much...

A hotel well geared up to visitors with dogs. We stayed with our Min Pin and it worked well. Breakfast and Room Service were also good. The staff were very helpful and friendly which added to our pleasant visit.

We stayed last week for 3 nights - 2 adults and 3 dogs! We stayed in room 16, and it was ideal for our purpose. A nicely appointed bedroom and en-suite for the humans and a spacious conservatory for our four legged friends and their beds- also some seating for humans. The conservatory lead directly out to the garden and...

Only stayed one night, whish it was longer. Staff were very helpful and friendly and seem happy working there. Room was very good, well kitted out, separate bath and shower. Excellent dinner and a good wine selection. Dinner service was excellent. Seems to be a weekly menu that could be a problem for vegetarians as there was just one vegetarian...

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights last week and it was excellent. We took our dog and he was one of a number of dogs staying and made to feel very welcome by all staff. We had room 10 upstairs which was lovely with a garden facing balcony. They gave us a very good deal that included dinner...
