Here's the scoop on Pinel Island based upon a visit mid-November 2016. The first boat leaves for the island 9:45-10:00. Hoping to get an early start, arrived about 8:30 and watched them load the boats with supplies for the islands two restaurants, Karibuni and Yellow Beach. But the first boat to bring passengers is by 10:00. Remember this is island...

We drove to the end of the French side of the island to catch a ferry to Pinel Island. Ferry cost was $12.00 pp rt. Arriving on the beach - two chairs and an umbrella are $20. There is a bar there and beautiful water. There are actually 2 beaches there that connect. The farthest is optional topless. Order a...

If you don't go to Pinel at least 1 time on your trip you will be missing out. I don't even want to share how awesome it is because I don't want it to get busy.. but I need to have good juju so the universe gets me back there. Do NOT go to St. Martin without visiting this beach.

This beach is a little hide away. It takes a short ferry ride to get there. Best to get there early to get a good spot. The restaurant has excellent food. Along with the less fancy food stand, the fish dish is absolutely incredible. Excellent spot for families with children as the water is not rough or deep. You will...

So glad we came here on the recommendation of one of the guest at our hotel!!! This place is awesome, what you think a carribean beach should be. You have to take a ferry over to this small island, which only takes about 7 minutes. The cost is $12 pp round trip. . In the morning they were going every...

I'm glad this island was recommended to us because it was the highlight of our trip! For beach lovers, the ocean is like the colour of a gem. It's extremely calm and shallow. Many tourists go for the snorkelling experience as there are lots of different types of tropical fish swimming around you. The island itself is small enough that...

We stay on St. Maarten for one month and tend to look for good values. If you are staying for a week and don't care how much money you spend don't bother reading this review. If you snorkel Pinel Island may be a good destination for you or if you have small children the beach is very calm and the...

We stopped by Pinel beach on a snorkeling tour. It was such a little place of heaven and we had a great time. You can lay by the beach, play in the water, eat lunch, etc. It was a great afternoon. There's a nice beach and a restaurant with facilities. There were a lot of boats anchored like ours not...
