This was recommended to us by a neighbour. Lovely room (Room 8). Was up and down several stairs and passages but that didnt bother us. Room was spotless and warm. Breakfasts were to die for. Scrambled egg and salmon was my favourite. Food served all day and was lovely. Nice atmosphere in bar at night. Not too busy. Girls were...

On the second night the bar manager/owner even remembered our drinks order from the night before and asked "same again" which was a lovely touch and made us feel very welcome. Very obliging friendly staff, perfect setting for discovering Northumbria. We will...

The bar was lively and friendly, with three real ales from which to choose. We ate in the bar restaurant and the food was delicious with a good...
